NFL Picks Week 6: Score Predictions Across the Week's Schedule
As my picks for last week's games showed, selecting winners for NFL games is really hard, especially in what has been a crazy season so far. But I'm not discouraged and will soldier on and present you with my picks for all of Week 6's games.
Carolina Panthers (1-4) at Atlanta Falcons (2-3)
Cam Newton will post impressive passing yardage numbers once again, but the Falcons will manage to keep the Panthers from outscoring them. Atlanta finally gets a solid game from quarterback Matt Ryan and running back Michael Turner goes over 100 yards in the win.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Atlanta 31, Carolina 24
Indianapolis Colts (0-5) at Cincinnati Bengals (3-2)
The Bengals and their No. 1 ranked defense will find a way to slow down Curtis Painter's progress and the Colts' lack of a running game will hurt them. Andy Dalton will do just enough to get Cincinnati another win.
Cincinnati 28, Indianapolis 24
San Francisco 49ers (4-1) at Detroit Lions (5-0)
In what will be a battle between the 2011 season's two biggest surprises, the Lions will win it through the air in a close game. Wide receiver Calvin Johnson can't be stopped right now and he'll torch San Francisco's soft secondary that is allowing 264.4 yards per game. The Lions roll to 6-0.
Detroit 38, San Francisco 21
St. Louis Rams (0-4) at Green Bay Packers (5-0)
This one could get ugly really quickly. The Packers just can't be stopped right now and they will cruise to 6-0.
Green Bay 45, St. Louis 17
Buffalo Bills (4-1) at New York Giants (3-2)
After this weekend's home loss to the hapless Seattle Seahawks, I just don't trust the Giants right now.
Buffalo 31, New York (Giants) 28
Jacksonville Jaguars (1-4) at Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2)
The Steelers have seemed to find their way now that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is banged up. They will also be facing a rookie quarterback in Blaine Gabbert, which means their veteran defense should be licking its chops.
Pittsburgh 35, Jacksonville 20
Philadelphia Eagles (1-4) at Washington Redskins (3-1)
I don't think any team in NFL history has needed a bye week as badly as the Eagles do now. That said, I get the feeling they can get by the Redskins, who are playing way above their talent level.
Philadelphia 31, Washington 24
Cleveland Browns (2-2) at Oakland Raiders (3-2)
The Raiders will roll behind Darren McFadden and their second-ranked rushing attack that is averaging 161.8 yards per game. The Browns are giving up 124.5 yards per game on the ground (25th in the NFL) and will have no answer for Run DMC.
Oakland 34, Cleveland 14
Houston Texans (3-2) at Baltimore Ravens (3-1)
Without Andre Johnson things were bad, without Mario Williams things just got downright scary for the Texans. Houston will still be reeling from those losses and will drop to .500 against the Ravens.
Baltimore 24, Houston 21
Dallas Cowboys (2-2) at New England Patriots (4-1)
After stumbling against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3, the Patriots have looked focused and as good as ever offensively. The Cowboys have been shaky and on the road against Tom Brady and company, they will struggle.
New England 42, Dallas 24
New Orleans Saints (4-1) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2)
The Saints have struggled to earn wins over the past two weeks but they should be able to outscore Tampa Bay, who will still be trying to shake off the 48-3 beat-down they suffered at the hands of the 49ers in Week 5.
New Orleans 38, Tampa Bay 27
Minnesota Vikings (1-4) at Chicago Bears (2-3)
This is one Sunday Night Football matchup that could be tough to watch. The Bears simply can't protect quarterback Jay Cutler, while the Vikings have an awful passing attack. It could devolve into the Adrian Peterson vs. Matt Forte show, in which case I'm banking on Peterson.
Minnesota 21, Chicago 18
Miami Dolphins (0-4) at New York Jets (2-3)
This is another brutal prime-time matchup as the Dolphins and newly-minted starting quarterback Matt Moore travel to New York to face the struggling Jets on Monday Night Football. Mark Sanchez and his team should be able to get by a really terrible Miami team, whose fans have to be dreaming of Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck by now.
New York (Jets) 34, Miami 13
