Fantasy Football Week 6 Rankings: Ryan Torain and Top 4 RBs
Regardless of what offensive coordinators may think, the running game is still a huge factor in executing a successful offense.
Yes, passing the rock is the norm, but anyone who wants to win must be able to run the ball effectively whenever they want.
In turn, that helps out fantasy owners of these Top 4 RBs in Week 6.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
4. Ryan Torain, Washington Redskins (vs Philadelphia Eagles)
Due to starting RB Tim Hightower's bad shoulder, backup Ryan Torain totally enhanced the dynamics of the Redskins' offense.
Not only does Mike Shanahan now have two solid RBs, but he can change the pace whenever he wants, regardless of the situation.
Last week Torain took the majority of the carries from Hightower and compiled 135 yards on 19 attempts, as well as reaching the zone one time.
This week Washington hosts Philadelphia, who is not only significantly underperforming, but their rush defense is their weakest area.
And if Washington doesn't want Mike Vick to do them like he did in 2010, they will run the ball and run it well.
3. BenJarvus Green-Ellis, New England Patriots (vs Dallas Cowboys)
Yes, the Dallas Cowboys have the No. 1 ranked rush defense, but their No. 13 pass defense could be ranked No. 1 also, and it wouldn't matter as long as Tom Brady is under center.
At the same token, New England will come out firing but will definitely mix BenJarvus Green-Ellis in early to keep the solid Dallas defense honest.
The immediate presence of Brady and WR Wes Welker is going to force the Cowboys to ease off keeping numerous defenders in the box, so Green-Ellis will have another solid day like he did versus the Jets.
The red zone, however, is where he does the most damage because as much as New England likes to throw when they get close to the goal-line, they're arguably just as good at using the offensive line to control the line of scrimmage.
2. Darren McFadden, Oakland Raiders (vs Cleveland Browns)
It's a test of "what gives" when Cleveland travels to Oakland in Week 6, because the Raiders have the No. 2 ranked rush offense against the Browns' No. 25 rush defense.
But the Browns rank No. 4 in pass defense while Oakland ranks No. 22 in pass offense.
Therefore, expect Darren McFadden to see eight in the box until QB Jason Campbell begins to move the ball.
Run DMC will start off slow because Cleveland knows what is coming and has the ability to stop the pass early on.
So with a solid mixture to keep their respectable secondary at bay, McFadden will takeover in the second half.
For one, Oakland is clearly the better team and much like Chris Johnson of the Titans did versus Cleveland in Week 4, Darren will do him even better against the Dawg Pound in Week 6.
1. Fred Jackson, Buffalo Bills (at NY Giants)
The Buffalo Bills offense ranks No. 13 and No. 4 in pass and rush yards per game, respectively, while the Giants defense ranks No. 18 and No. 21 in pass and rush yards allowed per game.
With that in mind, Fred Jackson is this week's No. 1 fantasy RB because New York won't be able to slow him down.
In addition, they're not going to slow down Bills' QB Ryan Fitzpatrick either.
Jackson will definitely dominate on the ground, but he may also lead all RBs in receiving this week too.
And after their dismal performance at home last week against the Seattle Seahawks (who arguably have the NFL's worst offense), it's difficult to expect the Giants to turn things around so quickly, especially when going against a much better opponent.
