Arizona Cardinals: Larry Fitzgerald Keeps Doing Things for a Great Cause
In sports, we seem to always get caught up in the competition, stats and controversy. A lot of the time, though, we happen to miss out on the good.
October has become Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the NFL has been real great about supporting the cause over the last few years.
As I am sure some of you have heard, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has taken a big stance in the month of October for breast cancer.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The NFL has done its job by sporting pink around stadiums and letting players break the dress-code rule to wear pink on their uniforms. And even with all the awareness that has been built, Fitzgerald has gone above and beyond what most others are doing.
For the month of October, Fitzgerald will donate $1,000 per catch, $10,000 per touchdown and 10 cents for every new Twitter follower he gets to breast cancer research.
So far, he has gained 70,000-plus new followers and has 12 receptions for zero touchdowns in October. That is already about $19,000.
Fitzgerald has always been considered a real great guy and role model. He shouldn't only be a role model to kids, however, but to other players as well. I am not calling out all players, but many more could help the cause like Fitzgerald has.
Fitzgerald is making big donations, so I don't expect all players to follow suit.
Let's hope that quarterback Kevin Kolb will find a way to connect with Fitzgerald a few more times before the month ends, especially in the end zone.
In 2003, Fitzgerald lost his mother to breast cancer. He continues to fight the disease, and it is donations like these that make Fitzgerald different from any other athlete around.
If you are on Twitter and you would like to help the cause, you can follow Fitzgerald here:
