Week 6 Waiver Wire: Jackie Battle and 3 Week 5 Stars Who Aren't Worth Grabbing
Every player in the NFL can have an eye-opening game every once in a while, but it's the players who do it consistently who are called stars.
Three players in particular probably fooled a lot of people in Week 5, putting up big performances and racking up a lot of fantasy points along the way.
But there isn't enough evidence to suggest these players will continue to put up these numbers. I give you three Week 5 stars who aren't worth picking up.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
3. Matt Cassel, QB, Kansas City Chiefs
Matt Cassel has shown he can put up some big fantasy numbers throughout the years, and he threw for 257 yards and four touchdowns against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5.
But Cassel has also shown he can disappoint mightily and it's not like the Colts have a stellar pass defense. I still don't think Cassel will play anywhere near where he was in 2010 or put up enough numbers to be a valuable fantasy commodity and he's still missing star running back Jamaal Charles to keep defenses honest (more on that later).
2. Marshawn Lynch, RB, Seattle Seahawks
I still can't figure out why Marshawn Lynch is owned in over 60 percent of Yahoo! Sports leagues.
He had a big game against the New York Giants in Week 5, but he's been off and on all season and didn't have big numbers last season, with 573 yards rushing (averaging 3.5 yards per carry) and six touchdowns.
On top of this, you can't expect any combination of Tarvaris Jackson and Charlie Whitehurst to produce like it did against the Giants. Jackson and Whitehurst simply aren't that good.
1. Jackie Battle, RB, Kansas City Chiefs
With running back Jamaal Charles out of the picture, the rest of the Chiefs' backfield has had to step up.
While it first appeared Thomas Jones and Dexter McCluster would carry the load, the Chiefs got a surprising performance from fourth-year pro Jackie Battle in Week 5, exploding for 119 rushing yards.
But before you get too excited remember that the Chiefs were playing the Colts, who are now 0-5. The Colts have always struggled against the run and this year is no different.
There's a chance Battle is finally beginning to become accustomed to the league, but he's an undrafted player and he hasn't shown anything in his first four years up until this point. It's hard to believe he'll all of a sudden become a star.
