NFL Power Rankings Week 6: Where Did CBS Get It Wrong?
CBS has released its Week 6 NFL Power Rankings and now, it typical fashion, I must critique them and give my opinion on where they went wrong.
Usually, the ESPNs, Fox Sports and CBSs of the world do a fine job constructing these lists, but I have a few gripes this week...
To begin, I've got no problem with the Packers and even the Lions at No. 1 and No. 2 respectively. It is easily the highest I've seen the Lions, but after their 5-0 start, why not give then that second spot?

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
They've earned it.
I'll give them credit for showing some courage by placing the Saints at No. 6, the lowest I've seen them, especially because of their reasoning. There are some major problems on that defense, and they won't be able to rely on Drew Brees to win every game.
Or will they?
Still, I don't think the Chargers are better than the Saints.
I mean, really?
Yes, we are used to San Diego getting off to horrid starts every season, but how impressive have they really been in their four victories? To me, not very.
At least flip those two teams.
How are the Texans and Redskins ahead of the Bills, who occupy the No. 8 spot? Houston lost at home to the Raiders, who Buffalo beat in Week 2.
Don't forget that Mario Williams is done for the year, and Andre Johnson will be sidelined a few more weeks. Can Matt Schaub ever come through for Houston when it matters most?
As for the Redskins, I think they're much better than initially thought. However, two of their three wins have come against the Cardinals and Rams.
Buffalo's wins over the Patriots, Raiders and Eagles are more telling as to what kind of team the Bills really are. Not the end of the world, I just don't get that one.
I think the 49ers deserve a little more love, too. They were placed in the No. 13 spot, two behind the New York Giants. I like the Giants' chances in what has surprisingly become a wide-open NFC East, but haven't the 49ers been far more consistent this season?
The rest looks good to me.
I like the Bengals at 18, a true up-and-coming team filled with youthful promise, and at 1-4, the No. 22-ranked Panthers are maybe a week away from surpassing the Eagles.
Who would of thought?
