WWE Raw Results: Top 10 Moments from Last Night
WWE Raw was on last night, as usual. It aired for two hours on the USA Network, as usual.
However, the entire feel of last night's show felt different. I am not sure if I liked it or not, but it was just "different" to me.
With that being said, let's me count down the top moments from WWE's Raw, and maybe you folks will see what I am getting at. It was just...different...
10. Mason Ryan Dominates
1 of 10WWE seems dead set on pushing Mason Ryan right now. Sadly, all the "broskis" out there are likely whining and crying over it, but Ryan just pinned Dolph Ziggler.
Ryder looks like he is taking a backseat to Mason Ryan right now, and I am fine with it. Yes, I have nicknamed Ryan "Mr. WWF" (don't ask), but he seems to be getting over little by little.
Where does the future go with him? New United States Champion? Interact with Zack Ryder? I have no idea, but I am interested...
9. Jim Ross Fired
2 of 10The show was in Oklahoma, so you knew something was coming.
Sadly, it didn't seem to have much of an effect. The live crowd has seen this too many times to care. Jim Ross was fired, insulted and sent to the back.
Again, we all love him, but if he isn't in the WWE's plans, then it is time for more Cole.
8. Vince McMahon Returns
3 of 10This does not rank too highly in my mind. It could have been a major moment, but I think WWE just wanted to rush through this "COO power struggle" and get to the point.
Vince walked out and announced that Triple H was no longer running Raw. I have no idea how Vince met with the Board of Directors over Triple H, but it is over and done with now.
As I mentioned above, Vince returned and immediately left. Not much to this...
7. Johnny Ace Takes over Raw
4 of 10That brought out Johnny Ace as the new head of Monday nights.
I can live with the move, only because Vince teased it was not a full-time move. That is perfect, as it builds up even more drama as to who replaces him down the road.
I think everyone is thinking Mick Foley, so we will see what the payoff is in a few weeks.
6. The Walkout Ends
5 of 10WWE has a PPV in two weeks. There was no way they were going to drag this out another week. They will be in Mexico this weekend, so everything needed to be fine by this week.
Triple H losing his job means all the wrestlers could go back to work, and they did.
It made sense, and everything was back to "normal" on Monday nights again.
5. Awesome Truth Returns to Brawl with Triple H and CM Punk
6 of 10Triple H is getting back in the ring. Teaming with Punk. Against Miz and Truth.
I am torn on this one. Yes, Vengeance needed some big matches, but Survivor Series is right around the corner. There is no need for a major tag match right now. That is for next month!
Nevertheless, expect a great match at Vengeance. Also expect Nash to stick his nose in this match somewhere, if not anybody else coming out.
Punk is a newly turned face, but Triple H is just coming back. I expect Punk to be taking the pin-fall loss at Vengeance. Next week's programming will be fun with these four.
4. Cena Is Facing Del Rio at Vengeance
7 of 10Yes, it is official. Yes, I expect Alberto Del Rio to retain.
It doesn't change the fact that Cena is getting his rematch in less than two weeks on PPV. I am excited for the match. I want to know how Del Rio ends up keeping the strap.
After Vengeance, I expect The Rock to start teasing an appearance, so Cena should be out of the WWE title picture by then. Good move WWE!
3. Morrison Loses in 1 Minute...Again!
8 of 10Well, he lost to Alberto Del Rio in 30 seconds. He lost to Cody Rhodes in five minutes when Rhodes was wearing a suit and not even ready to compete.
Morrison then lost to Mark Henry in two minutes after hitting his finisher and being laughed at. He follows it up with a one-minute loss to Christian.
Yep, he is the greatest thing since sliced bread! Yep, he is a hot act. Yep, he is their most over mid-card character, and his new shirt will surely be a big seller! Eat your lunch, remember...?
Seriously, I do not know how many times I need to beat the dead horse, but Morrison just doesn't have "it" at all and is being shown the door. I hope he has fun with Melina (they will get back together—we all know it).
One last thing: keep checking WWE.com, folks! That profile of his may not be there much longer...
2. Vickie's Group
9 of 10This is just great right now. You have Cody taking care of Orton. You have Ziggler and Swagger taking on Air Boom and you have Christian still talking about...whatever it is he wants.
Vickie Guerrero is one of the best things going on WWE TV and has been for the past couple years.
I have not thought of a name for the group yet, but I am sure others have plenty of ideas...
1. Mark Henry Is the Man
10 of 10What a night for the World Champion!
Mark Henry cuts an amazing promo about his career, warning the Big Show about their Vengeance title match. Also, he is reminded all the "cynics, doubters and haters" out there who is standing tall!
He followed that up with a great match with Randy Orton and a post-match beatdown as a cherry on top. He had the best night of any performer on WWE Raw, and he will continue to dominate.
The bandwagon has officially stopped taking members to jump on, but if anybody out there is still not a fan of Mark Henry, I suggest watching the video I posted. It is beyond words and is truly one of the best moments of the year.
