WWE: Why Mason Ryan Is on His Way to the Top of WWE, Monday Night RAW
Mason Ryan is built in the same way that Batista was. He has the basic bodybuilder look, which Vince McMahon loves and likes to push on the WWE fans.
It is the easiest reason to give as to why Ryan will make it to the top. McMahon sees a certain guy and what he perceives the crowd enjoys. It's also easy for Internet fans to see this and immediately reject Ryan.
Ryan could have only his physique and it would still lead to him being pushed even if it was all he had going for him.

But the truth is that Ryan has a little bit more to him than just that.
Ryan is well liked not just by McMahon but by most of the locker room. Instead of being puffed up and proud that he is being pushed quickly, Ryan has kept a humble attitude. Having that view of himself has made him friends instead of enemies, which he needs while he is still learning.
It also means that he is willing to get better and seek to improve himself. Knowing that improvement is possible is the best motivation of talent, no matter who the person is or what he does for a living.
Ryan also just turned 30, but only just made it to the WWE a few years ago. He started wrestling in his mid-20s and is now on national TV every week. It would be easy for him to get a swelled head, but he has stayed away from that. The ability to do that even as the bright lights shine on him speaks volumes of his mental strength.
And he seems to love his job. There are quite a few bodybuilders that the WWE has hired in an attempt to find the next Triple H, Batista or Goldberg. Some of them may end up enjoying their jobs, but others might just being doing it for the fame and paycheck. When Ryan turned face on RAW, he seemed to genuinely be having a good time.
Whenever someone comes in to a job to make lots of money or become famous, it's easy to spot. The lack of energy and passion shows itself almost immediately. With Ryan, it seems like he is really finding a level of personal satisfaction in his work, which makes him watchable.
If he continues to look as he does while remaining humble and excited at his job he will keep growing into a top wrestler.
