Tim Tebow: Bronco Fans Must Give Tebow Long Leash in First Month as Starter
The fans finally got what they wanted, but be careful what you wish for.
John Fox hasn’t officially named a starter for the Broncos Week 7 matchup against the Miami Dolphins, but it’s the worst kept secret in the league.
Tim Tebow is going to be the stating QB in Denver for the rest of this season.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
After an abysmal first half for Kyle Orton on Sunday against the Chargers, it was Tebow time.
He may have had two touchdowns and almost erased a 26-10 fourth quarter deficit, but there were more than a few examples of why the coaching staff didn’t want to start him right off the bat.
The lack of an offseason might have affected Tebow more than any other player in the league. He needed as much practice and coaching as possible and the staff had to avoid him.
On Sunday, Tebow almost fumbled the snap on three separate occasions and it threw off the timing of each play. The problem was fixed once he started lining up in the shotgun formation, but he can’t be doing that on every possession.
He finished 4-of-10 for 74 yards and his accuracy was not good. Some of his throws were wobbly and off target, high, wide, you name it. The other big issue is his tendency to tuck and run if his first read isn’t open.
Sure he’s potentially a top-three QB when it comes to running the ball now, but he’ll never survive the rest of the season by running the ball over 8-10 times a game (he ran it six times Sunday).
He has the intangibles, work ethic and leadership ability to be a successful NFL quarterback. There is no disputing that, but it’s going to take lots of game reps for him to settle down in the pocket and make all of the correct reads.
Tebow is going to struggle early on, and turnovers and frustration will follow. Fans can’t start booing him in favor of Brady Quinn though. They must stay patient, they must realize they are watching the maturation of a pro quarterback.
Nobody said the Broncos rebuilding process was going to be easy, but now that Tebow is the savior you have to give him the chance to figure out how to do it.
Baby steps Bronco fans.
