WWE Vengeance 2011: Why John Cena Will Win His WWE Title Back at Vengeance

Donald WoodOct 10, 2011

The WWE will be putting on their second pay-per-view of October on the 23rd with Vengeance, and it’s the perfect time to redeem themselves by giving the WWE title back to its rightful owner, John Cena.

It’s obvious that the WWE doesn’t trust Alberto Del Rio as a WWE Champion or they would not be burying him every time they can while making John Cena look strong.

Del Rio won the title against CM Punk at Hell in a Cell in a dirty manner that makes him look like a weak champion while Cena sat on the outside of the cage and looked like the strong face.

The plan from the WWE is to have CM Punk and Alberto Del Rio feud for the WWE title for the next couple months, the lack of John Cena in the title picture later can be made up by giving him another short run as champ.

Cena losing the belt could also play in the storyline by making The Rock interfere with his title match and cost him the WWE Championship, making the feud leading into WrestleMania seem more realistic.

The move to give Cena back the belt before the long push for the Super Bowl of WWE makes so much sense that the WWE would be fools not to go through with this plan.

Not only would they add another title run (albeit a short run) to the already 10-time champion, they would allow Del Rio and CM Punk time to build their feud as well.

It's been made blatantly obvious that Cena and The Rock will be going after each other for the next few months, and the lack of Cena in the WWE title picture won’t be great for the company.

With Cena holding the belt as long as he possibly can before the switch to The Rock feud, it will alleviate some of the stress from the WWE hierarchy on the lack of attention Alberto Del Rio attracts.

While CM Punk can carry the feud with Del Rio for the title, Cena needs to go right back in the mix and feud with Punk for the title following WrestleMania.

Then the WWE universe will be back in order.
