Tim Tebow: Should Fantasy Owners Trade Kyle Orton Immediately?

Buckle up kiddies, it's Tebow Time!

Tim Tebow entered the Denver Broncos game with the San Diego Chargers in relief of an ineffective Kyle Orton, and although the Broncos lost the game and Tebow's numbers weren't awe-inspiring, the Broncos have likely reached the point of no return, and Tebow will probably be under center for the Broncos when they emerge from their Week 6 bye.

Tebow is apt to be something of a hot commodity on fantasy waiver wires this week, especially in deeper or two QB leagues, while the fantasy value of Kyle Orton just took a mach-four nosedive right into the proverbial toilet.

If you can, it is absolutely time to trade Kyle Orton for just about anything you can get, as any owners who watch the games or ESPN will undoubtedly be pummeled with Tebow hype and get wise to the fact that you're trying to pull a fast one, so don't be surprised if the offers you send are met with incredulity, derision or just flat-out ignored.

If you can't get some poor schmuck to take neckbeard off your hands, the best bet would likely be to hold at least for a few days until we hear definitively that Tebow will be the starting quarterback moving forward (which is almost assuredly going to be the case), at which point you can safely dump Orton for another signal-caller, bye week help at another position, or a bag of Fritos.

Then you may want to invest in some earplugs, because Tebow Mania is about to ratchet up to unfathomably annoying levels.
