Donald Jones Injury: How Is Ryan Fitzpatrick's Fantasy Value Affected?
To be frank, Ryan Fitzpatrick's fantasy value is not affected much by the loss of Donald Jones.
Jones is a solid player, but the Bills are stockpiled with young receiver talent with guys like Stevie Johnson and David Nelson. They may have even finally found a tight end in Scott Chandler.
While Fitzpatrick has enjoyed fast start to the 2011 season, Chan Gailey's ability to call plays certainly has been a catalyst for the Bills' success so far. Therefore, as long the Bills keep most of their core players, Gailey will find a way to scheme-it-up and get every ounce of production possible out of his offense, and FItzpatrick's numbers will not slow down much.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
They even signed former Jet Brad Smith in the offseason. While his role will most be on special teams and as a Wildcat quarterback, he has seen time as a receiver and can fill in if needed.
Still, it's not like you can just lose your third-leading receiver on your offense and not have to make any adjustments. But the Bills receivers are so similar in terms of body type and style that they are almost interchangeable. It's not the same as, for example, the Jets trying to replace Plaxico Burress with Derrick Mason and you have two completely different types of receivers.
If you're one of those smart enough to pick up Fitzpatrick early in the season, keep him in your lineup. There is no need to overreact to losing one target to injury.
