Chad Henne Injury: Assessing Matt Moore's Fantasy Football Stock
Now that Miami Dolphins quarterback Chad Henne is done for the season, it's time to take a look at his replacement, Matt Moore, and assess where he is as a fantasy football option.
To begin, Moore isn't a bad backup by any means.
Sure, he doesn't have a long history of successful play, but, in 2009, he played in seven games for the Panthers, completed 62 percent of his passes and threw eight touchdowns with only two interceptions.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Last week against the Chargers, he was 17 of 26 for 167 yards and a pick.
Obviously, Moore isn't going to instantly step in and be a top-tier fantasy option at quarterback—heck, he's not even top 20.
But for those of you who need a second-string guy to fill in for your starting signal-caller's bye week, adding Moore isn't a terrible idea.
The Dolphins are off to an embarrassing 0-4 start, yet their offense hasn't been horrible.
Moore will certainly have playmakers at the wide receiver spot to make his life a little easier.
Brandon Marshall has, for the most part, been a disappointment in Miami, but is an extremely talented guy nonetheless.
Expect Moore to key on him as the catalyst to spark this average offense.
Davone Bess, a sleeper in fantasy last season, was somewhat overlooked by Henne in the team's first few games and didn't receive as many touches as I thought he would entering the season.
The running game will help, too.
Daniel Thomas insists he'll be back after the bye week for the team's matchup with the divisional rival Jets.
One thing we know for sure about Moore, he won't be shy throwing the football, which is usually a good thing for fantasy owners.
A Week 7 matchup against the Broncos is attractive as are games against the Chiefs in Week 9, the Bills in Week 11 and the Raiders in Week 13.
He won't single-handedly bring you to your fantasy playoffs, but he's a middle-of-the-road signal-caller who's getting a fresh start.
UPDATE: ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that the Dolphins plan to sign QB Sage Rosenfels. This certainly lowers Moore's fantasy stock, especially in the long-term.
