Fantasy Football Week 5 Projections: Green Bay Packers and Top 5 Defenses
Sometimes with fantasy football, starting the right D/ST can be the difference between a win and a loss.
It might seem crazy, but it's true.
Let's look at the top five defenses this week.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Green Bay Packers
The Falcons offense hasn't been horrible—it's their defense that has struggled to stop their opponents.
With that being said, Matt Ryan has already been sacked a whopping 13 times, so expect Dom Capers to throw a variety of blitz packages his way and really turn Clay Matthews loose.
Ryan has six touchdowns but has tossed four interceptions and isn't the greatest at eluding pressure.
The Packers defense should be able to get to Ryan, which could lead to a few interceptions.
Detroit Lions
A dream matchup.
Jay Cutler has been sacked 15 times and the Lions boast one of the most powerful and ferocious defensive lines in the NFL.
I fully expect the Lions to put a lot of points on the board so Cutler will be forced to throw in the second half.
It is the perfect recipe for a lot of sacks and interceptions.
New York Giants
Tarvaris Jackson has played two straight respectable games, but the Giants' pressure will lead to hurried decisions by the Seahawks quarterback, creating the possibility of three to five sacks.
Playing at home against a sub-par opponent, the Giants defense is a great start this week.
Tennessee Titans
Yes, Ben Roethlisberger will play—a hobbled Ben Roethlisberger.
The Steelers offense has been surprisingly stagnant through four games, and the Titans defensive front won't make it any easier for their struggling running game.
Even with all of his ability to extend plays, Big Ben has been taken down 14 times.
It looks like Isaac Redman will start in Rashard Mendenhall's place.
Start Tennessee's D.
San Francisco 49ers
A surprise add to this list.
The 49ers defense is playing outstanding right now and is anchored by one of the best linebackers in the game, Patrick Willis, who will be key in stopping LeGarrette Blount.
The Buccaneers are far from a bad team, but are they that explosive?
I don't think so.
I see a low-scoring game between these two clubs.
San Fran's defense is a good play at home this week.
