MLB Playoffs: Doug Fister, Ivan Nova Will Ruin Game 5 of Yankees vs. Tigers
Who wants to watch Doug Fister vs. Ivan Nova in Game 5 of the ALDS between the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers?
In all honesty, no one outside of Detroit and New York does.
The Game 1 rainout ruined this series for the fans.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Everyone wants to see C.C. Sabathia vs. Justin Verlander in Game 5. This series should be decided by the best pitchers in the league, not Fister and Nova, two guys who no one outside of New York and Detroit want to watch.
Every baseball fan in the world wants to see the Tigers season, and the Yankees season being decided by their best pitchers, not Nova and Fister.
Fister finished the season with 11 wins and 13 losses, not very impressive, despite the fact that he put together a terrific final two months of the season. His 2.83 ERA for the season was solid, but he is not the guy you want on the mound for a Game 5.
Ivan Nova had a very productive season, but relied a lot on the Yankees bats to get him more wins. He had an ERA of 3.70 this year, but he won 16 games, and only lost four games.
Obviously the pitching duel could be worse, but the simple fact of the matter is that games like these should be decided by the studs of the staff.
Nova and Fister aren't even close to being the stars on the staff. That honor goes to Sabathia and Verlander, without a doubt.
