WWE Raw Results: The Top 6 Moments of the Night
In a WWE Raw SuperShow that did not include CM Punk or John Cena on the mic, this Monday night was an average show.
The two former superstars who I wanted to see the most, the Miz and R-Truth, did not make an appearance, and there were only five matches throughout the night.
In any case, here are the top six moments of the night.
Drew McIntyre Gets a Match
1 of 6I thought the show would open with either Alberto Del Rio, CM Punk, John Cena or Triple H but instead Randy Orton entered the ring for a match against Drew McIntyre!
I can't say I remember the last time McIntyre had a match on RAW and considering the fact that he was up against Orton, he did a very good job. He managed to get off a solid burst of offense before Orton started hearing the voices and put up a valiant effort despite receiving an RKO.
It was great to see him get a match and hopefully we can now see more of him in the future.
Mark Henry and Randy Orton Brawl Yet Again
2 of 6When the match ended, the World Heavyweight Champion made his way down to the ring towards the celebrating Orton.
Orton didn't allow Henry to get to the ring and a brawl between the two immediately broke out. The hatred steaming between them was evident and when the security guards came into play, the fight only got better.
Both of them broke the holds of several guards and Orton even went flying over them on to Henry at one point. Orton eventually sent Henry over the barrier onto the concrete floor which was finally enough for Orton, who left with security.
Henry spoke after that he was done with Orton and that on Friday he would re-induct Big Show into the Hall of Pain. I can't wait to see what happens there.
And then the worst moment of the night happened, when Morrison was further buried by Henry. Starship failure.
Kelly Kelly and Eve Go Crazy
3 of 6The Divas arrived next and once again a tag team match between the team of Beth Phoenix and Natalya and the team of Kelly Kelly and Eve was under away.
The match lasted all of about ten seconds as Kelly immediately lost it and was disqualified for hitting Phoenix into the announcers table so many times. She kept going to work on the new Divas Champion until Eve finally pulled her off after beating Natalya against the barrier.
I thought it was awesome to see this side of Kelly and I would assume this means that Kelly will be looking for her title back at Vengeance in a few weeks.
But the screaming. It's awful.
Santino Makes Return and Defeats Jinder Mahal
4 of 6This was easily my favorite moment of the night.
Santino Morella made his return to the ring against Jinder Mahal and made quick work of his opponent. Santino got Mahal down quickly, extended his arm and we all know what happens after that.
I was watching with my roommate and we were so excited that we sprang up from our seats and copied Santino as he bent his arm into the Cobra and nailed Mahal into the face.
I die laughing every time I see that move and his celebration only makes me laugh harder. Thank you Santino for making my night.
Finishers Galore in Tag Team Match
5 of 6The main event of the night was a 12 man tag team match which included the team of John Cena, CM Punk, AirBoom, Sheamus and Mason Ryan against Dolph Ziggler, Cody Rhodes, Jack Swagger, David Otunga, Christian and Alberto Del Rio.
The match was pretty slow at points and there was two commercial breaks but the best part of the match was easily the last two minutes. Everyone invaded the ring at some point as we saw Kofi flying through the air, a GTS from Punk, an AA from Cena, a neckbreaker from Otunga, a Zigzag from Ziggler and finally a Brogue Kick from Sheamus to win the match for the faces.
Moments like that are always exciting and that segment in the match did not disappoint.
Triple H Left Alone in the Ring
6 of 6At the end of the night, the locker room from the WWE emptied as all of RAW, SmackDown and the referees made their way out to ringside.
After trying to field through all of their complaints, Triple H was finally shut down by Jerry Lawler who said that what was happening was not Triple H's fault but as long as he was in charge, these things would continue to happen.
Everyone at ringside voted "no confidence" and then literally everyone left. The Superstars, the refs, the cameramen, Lawler, Michael Cole, Booker T and then last, Jim Ross.
The only Superstars that didn't leave Triple H were Cena, Punk, Orton, Sheamus and a few others but that is only because they never came out to the ring in the first place. The divide in the WWE continues to grow and as many have speculated, it looks like we are heading towards a civil war in the WWE.
It will be interesting to see what happens next Monday where I hope we receive some answers.
