WWE Hell in a Cell 2011 Results: What's Next for Christian After Loss to Sheamus
From former world champion to jobber?
Well, maybe Christian has not fallen that far. But it seems like a month ago Christian was red hot with his battles involving Randy Orton, and now he is being destroyed by Sheamus and the odds on Captain Charisma getting a title shot again are very slim.
Christian has been a great champion and was one of the best tag team competitors of all time, but now we aren't real sure what his place is in the WWE and for some reason, maybe the creative team is as lost as we are.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Christian's plight is not unlike others. It remains to be seen what happens with Randy Orton following his loss to Mark Henry at Hell in a Cell. But Orton is more accepting by the WWE Universe and therefore, Orton can garner some heat now and see where it takes him.
Also, we know there must be a means to an end with Christian. The whining and complaining wore thin and fans did not take to it like creative had hoped—almost like he was destined to be a face and not a heel and somewhere along the way, things got lost.
And to make things worse for Christian, Big Show returns this week to Smackdown, which means, automatically, Big Show and Henry feud. So everyone loses a spot.
But what can happen, as we have seen the past few weeks, is that Christian becomes part of this clique with Vickie Guerrero, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger et al and he becomes pertinent again. He is great in the ring and good on the mic. He has a lot to offer. And, while Edge retiring means he lost some of his steam, if he takes a major role in this "invasion" theme, then he does not have to worry so much about having a title; the stable becomes more important.
Maybe we see him in a tag team situation again in a new tag team division with the likes of Wade Barrett or even David Otunga to give Otunga a chance to shine. Maybe we see him feud with Evan Bourne if Air Boom losses the tag team titles.
Maybe he joins Vickie Guerrero's stable with Ziggler and Swagger and then a four is added (Cody Rhodes) to form another "Horsemen," which I think would be awesome.
Who knows what happens to Christian now. But the WWE is in disarray right now, so the likelihood of him being a main event draw for the time being is a little unlikely.
