WWE Hell in a Cell 2011 Results: Why The Miz and R-Truth Must Remain Fired

The Miz and R-Truth made their return to the WWE after a two-week absence at Hell in a Cell on Sunday night. And they did so in dramatic fashion by attacking CM Punk, John Cena and Alberto Del Rio inside the cell.

But that was last night. What happens tonight on Raw and in the next few weeks on television?

Conventional WWE wisdom would tell you to put Miz and R-Truth on television as soon as possible, as much as possible, because they are the talk of the wrestling world right now. But what if WWE did not do what was, by their standards, conventional with this angle?

What if, just this once, WWE resisted the urge to kill an angle before it really gets going and let the angle play out organically?

Since Miz and R-Truth are still "fired," and got arrested last night after they unleashed their brutal attack, keep them off television for at least tonight's show. Fans are salivating to hear what Miz and R-Truth are going to say, but it would make no sense to have them just show up on Raw tonight.

You don't want to give the people what they want right away. If WWE does that, like it did with CM Punk prior to SummerSlam, fans are not going to care because then this whole thing turns into just another wrestling angle.

Instead, you let the angle simmer for another week or two and then give them a forum to speak; even if it is just a taped vignette that is recorded away from the arena where WWE is taping. Nonetheless, don't re-hire them until the end of this month or early next month in order to build up Survivor Series.

If that doesn't work for WWE, then make Miz and R-Truth earn their way back on the roster by wrestling a gauntlet tag team match against most, if not all of the WWE roster. But don't do it right away.

The worst thing WWE can do is just hire Miz and Truth back right away for tonight's Raw. I am confident that won't be the direction the creative team goes, but I have been burned so many times before that it wouldn't shock me if it happens in this instance.
