Michael Vick Injury: Updates on Eagles Star's Week 5 Status and Fantasy Value
Michael Vick has faced the injury bug in almost every game so far in this short season with the Philadelphia Eagles, but he has shown incredible toughness coming back from these painful ailments.
Judging from the way Vick handled his injuries so far and the fact that he dislocated his fingers on his passing hand during the team’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers, he is one of the toughest quarterbacks in the NFL.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Michael Vick doesn't appear to be slowing down this half after a poor first half. According to the NFL's Michael Signora, Vick has now rushed for more yards than any other QB in NFL history.
Vick has battled his team back, and they are now within ten points at the beginning of the fourth quarter, and are in the midst of driving down the field.

The first half hasn't exactly gone according to plan for the Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles this half as Vick threw three first half interceptions, and they trail 21-7.
ESPN analyst Jemele Hill chimed in on his first half performance,
Sounds like Hill and the rest of the country are far from impressed with Vick right now.
UPDATE: Sunday, Oct. 9 at 2:00 p.m. EDT by Donald Wood
Michael Vick has had a rough first four games of the season, and it is only getting rougher with the lack of an offensive line in Philadelphia.
Nothing but pressure has cause two interceptions already this first half, but he has looked good when he has time. Vick was also seen limping twice during the first half.
Not only was Vick hit legally a few times, he was also the recipient of a helmet-to-helmet shot that was penalized. This looks like it could be a long day for Michael Vick.

Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles have a tough test today against a Buffalo Bills team that is way better than anyone anticipated this season.
Ed Werder said on ESPN's SportsCenter that Michael Vick will wear a kevlar-padded glove on his throwing hand for the second-straight week. He passed for more than 400 yards last week while wearing the glove.
If you have Michael Vick in your fantasy football league, after seeing last week’s performance with the glove coupled with the fact that they are facing a mediocre Bills’ secondary, he is a must start despite the ever present risk of injury.
UPDATE: Saturday, Oct. 8 at 3:35 p.m. EDT by Donald Wood
The Philadelphia Eagles are a terrible 1-3 to start the season, and several injuries to their star quarterback Michael Vick haven’t helped. While it looks like Vick will have no problem going Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, accusations of quitting aren’t sitting well with the QB.
Michael Vick told the Delaware County Daily Times about Frank Gore’s comments on the Eagles quitting against the 49ers:
"I don’t think the team quit. I think we put up the effort for all four quarters. I don’t know, maybe, I mean he can say that but we can’t dwell on last week, it’s over.
"
This is the perfect storm of Vick being angry and the Bills being overrated in their secondary that will have Michael Vick going off in a way fans haven’t seen since his six touchdown performance against the Washington Redskins in 2010.

Eagles fans and Vick's fantasy owners should rejoice. We aren't hearing any news this week about his injuries and he is practicing fully this week, according to Rotoworld's Staff. Start him with confidence against a suspect Buffalo Bills secondary.
Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 6:27 p.m. EST
Good news for Michael Vick's fantasy owners and Philadelphia Eagles fans. Vick is no longer concerned about extracurricular activities and is focusing on playing ball. Considering we aren't hearing anything about his injury, expect him to be a full-go this Sunday against a tasty Bills secondary.
Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 5:30 p.m. EST
Nothing new to report on Vick, but after a very strong performance in Week 4 his chances of playing against the Buffalo Bills this Sunday are very good.
I was surprised the Eagles less than stellar offensive line was able to protect Vick enough for him to not get injured, although, at time he did have to run for his life.
With a week where Vick didn't get injured, you have to feel good about starting him on Sunday, especially since the Bills defense is easy to move the ball on.
UPDATE: Monday, Oct. 3 at 1:50 p.m. EDT
The Philadelphia Eagles have let their new $100 million quarterback get destroyed so far this season, and it’s time for them to start making trades for offensive lineman to protect Michael Vick.
Sports personality Bomani Jones points out the fact that the Eagles brass needs to take seriously before they lose their long-term investment:
Vick is the most athletic quarterback in the NFL, and another solid lineman or two that could give the veteran more time would be enough to get the team winning. If they don’t, Vick will be useless to your fantasy team and to the Eagles.
UPDATE: Monday, Oct. 3 at 1:40 p.m. EDT
Michael Vick has been through a tough year already, and we’re just now heading into Week 5 of the season. The Philadelphia Eagles have to do a better job protecting their quarterback, or he won’t be playing for very long.
Philly Sports Daily is reporting about a hand injury that may have affected Vick’s play in the Eagles’ loss to the San Francisco 49ers:
"Michael Vick, who threw for a career-high 416 yards against the 49ers, said the middle finger in his throwing hand “popped out of place” in the first half. He was not listed on Andy Reid’s injury report.
“I was just determined to finish the game, regardless of how I had to do it,” said Vick. “And I did it. I wish the outcome could have been a little bit different but it is what it is.”
"
Even with the loss to the 49ers and another injury to his hand, Vick put up amazing numbers and was a fantasy machine. With a defense that can’t stop the run, expect Vick to sling the ball a lot to get his team back into game.
