Vincent Jackson Injury: Why Only Injury Could Stop Chargers Wide Receiver
All anyone had to see was the 55-yard touchdown catch turned in by Vincent Jackson to know that the San Diego wide receiver is as good as they come and that the defense has yet been sketched out that is going to shut him down.
Injury is another story. Jackson came out of Sunday’s game against Miami with a foot injury and was questionable to return.
That was good news for the Dolphins just as much as it was bad news for San Diego. To the point of the play that took him down, Jackson had three catches for 108 yards, the 55-yarder being followed on the next drive by catches of 35 and 23 yards before he was pushed to the sidelines.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He came into the game averaging over six catches per game, 17 catches in all, for 266 yards and a couple of touchdowns.
But none of those displayed his vast skills in a better light than the 55-yard touchdown against the Dolphins.
First, he got behind the defender by a good three years. Then quarterback Philip Rivers overthrew Jackson. Somehow, Jackson managed to do a mid-air Spiderman, extending his arms and fingers until he was able to capture the ball and bring it in.
He was so extended that he flopped on the ground. But he was never touched, and he knew it. Jackson popped up, juked a defender, then bolted into the end zone.
A measure of just how good the Rivers-led offense is that they were able to make do in the absence of Jackson to take a 23-13 lead in the fourth quarter.
