Tony Romo: Cowboys QB Must Explain Giving Owner Jerry Jones the Cold Shoulder
The public opinion of Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo fluctuates more often than the stock market.
He was “heroic” after playing with broken ribs and a punctured lung, now he’s back to choke artist after throwing two pick-six’s in the second half of the Cowboys crushing 34-30 loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
After throwing three second-half interceptions and allowing the Lions to make a 24-point comeback—clearly he was frustrated.

But you can’t give your boss the business.
FOX cameras caught Romo on the sidelines walking past owner Jerry Jones. It appears as if he wants to speak with his disgruntled QB.
Jones placed his hand on Romo’s shoulder as if he had some condolences to offer Romo. Instead of nodding and smiling like a good employee, he brushed off his arm and stormed away.
It’s a tough situation for Romo.
Emotions are running high, and obviously he’s angry with himself for letting such a winnable game slip away. Yet if there is one guy you have to give the utmost respect to, it’s Jones. The fact that the cameras caught the whole ordeal makes matters even worse.
Now Romo has to spend the next week answering questions about it. He will brush the whole situation off publicly, but privately they are going to have a looooong talk.
Nobody gives Jones the cold shoulder. Nobody. Romo better be prepared for a lengthy conversation with words like “respect” being thrown around.
In the span of one half of football, Romo went from the penthouse to the outhouse.
Such is life in the NFL.
