Tony Romo: Why Dallas Cowboys QB Deserves Blame for Loss to Lions
Tony Romo gave the Dallas Cowboys their 20-3 halftime lead over the Detroit Lions. However, he was the reason why they let a 24-point lead evaporate in the second half.
After the Cowboys were up 24 points in the third quarter, Romo threw an interception to Detroit’s Bobby Carpenter. He ended up taking the interception to the house to cut the lead to 27-10.
Five minutes later, Romo made another mistake, this time to Chris Houston. Detroit returned yet another touchdown to the house, this time of the 56-yard variety. Just like that, the Lions were down 10 points with five minutes to play in the quarter.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Romo throwing those two interceptions single-handedly gave away the game for the Cowboys. If he doesn’t throw those picks, Detroit never gets back into the game.
It’s simple: To get back into the game a team needs breaks or “play-making” plays. Detroit made those plays because of the decisions of Romo.
Detroit deserves some credit for the plays they made, but Romo should know not to force the ball with a 24-point lead.
Those two interceptions brought life to the young Lions team. Quarterback Matthew Stafford started to make throws. He started to find Calvin Johnson.
Once Stafford started to find Johnson, that is when the offense began to click.
The offense before the first half was horrific. They scored a total of three points. If Romo doesn’t throw those picks, Detroit never has a chance to get things going in the second half.
Romo may have won the Cowboys two games this season, but he should get the lion's share of the blame on this one.
