Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Despite the success Vick has had through the air, Philly needs to give LeSean McCoy some more touches to keep the 49er defense honest. With little success on the pass rush, the Niners can stack their secondary and start to threaten the Eagles’ passing plays. Only five handoffs to one of the league’s best tailbacks does not bode well for Philly, particularly in the red zone.
Be cautious with the deep ball
Early on, Vick underthrew two deep balls to DeSean Jackson. The first one almost snuck in there, but the second one was considerably worse and got picked. The Eagles need to continue calling short passing plays so the banged up QB can stay in a rhythm.
Continue max protecting Vick
The offensive line has given Vick loads of time to maneuver on almost every snap. When you’re coming off a couple bad injuries, it really helps to not worry about an imposing pass-rush. The first time the Niners threatened with the sack, Vick returned the favor by scrambling out of trouble and finding his man in the end zone.
