Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Chiefs had a big takeaway in the middle of the second quarter that resulted in another field goal. If they want to win this game, they need to make the most of their opportunities and put touchdowns on the board. Hopefully, these red zone field goals don't come back to haunt them.
Look Deep
The Chiefs need to open up their offense in the second half by looking deep for Steve Breaston and Dwayne Bowe. They should consider running more play-action and letting Cassel throw deep so his athletic WRs can have chances to make big plays.
Stop the Penalties
Kansas City needs to stop making stupid mistakes. The Chiefs already had a crucial red zone penalty on their first scoring drive that limited them to a field goal. If they want to win this game, they cannot afford to keep inflicting damage on themselves with game-changing mistakes.
Third-down D
KC needs to get stops on third down. On the Vikings first scoring drive, it failed to get stops on two crucial third downs that ultimately set Minnesota up for its go-ahead score. The Chiefs need to stuff the run on short third downs because Minnesota is likely to run AP up the gut.
Watch for Play-Action
The Vikings have been doing a solid job mixing up their offense. KC needs to be aware that Minnesota will continue to take chances deep down the field with play-action after steady gains from Peterson.
