Fantasy Football Week 4 Rankings: Maurice Jones-Drew and 3 Top RB Plays
With NFL offenses becoming more heavily on the passing game each week and each year, it's almost as if the running game has been non existent and obsolete.
And rightfully so, as the pass defenses haven't been nearly as strong as when they defend against the rush.
That said, if you want to win a championship in real or fake football, having a stud RB is imperative.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
So, here are the Top Three RB plays of Week 4.
3. Maurice Jones-Drew (vs New Orleans Saints)
Yes the Saints have a Top 10 rush defense (allow an average of 90.7 per game), but Jacksonville has the No. 6 ranked rushing offense.
Now although that can be attributed to MJD's QB's being Luke McCown and rookie Blaine Gabbert, meaning Jacksonville isn't going to have success throwing the ball, that's impressive for being one-dimensional.
However, the Saints have a weak pass defense which could be why the rush defense is doing well, because there's no reason to run the ball against them.
Well, Maurice Jones-Drew has averaged over 100 yards in each game this season, and is also averaging almost five yards per carry.
Jacksonville will use him a lot versus New Orleans to keep Drew Brees off the field, in turn, Jones-Drew should hit about 150 total yards and score at least two TDs in Week 4.
2. Adrian Peterson (vs Kansas City Chiefs)
With Eric Berry out and their second best DB in Brandon Flowers currently questionable, Vikings RB Adrian Peterson could literally hit 200 rush yards in this game.
Obviously those two players are a bigger hit to the Chiefs' pass defense, but all Peterson needs are those few inches to make a move and he's gone.
No one in K.C.'s front seven will catch him, and Berry and Flowers are a solid last line of defense.
But, since we know Berry won't be there and with Flowers uncertain, Adrian will run all day versus the Chiefs.
However, don't be surprised if Minny goes to the air first, that way, Peterson will really be set up for later on.
Nonetheless, Adrian should account for at least 170 total yards and score three TDs.
1. Darren McFadden (vs New England Patriots)
The NFL's leading rusher takes on the extremely vulnerable New England Patriots at home in Week 4.
Bill Belichick's defense has been underachieving since last season, and 2011 could possibly be even worse.
Sure the rush defense in ranked No. 10, but that's only because the pass defense in No. 32.
There's really no reason to run the ball against them, but when you have Run DMC in the backfield, you really should think otherwise.
In addition, that's only going to help setup play-action for QB Jason Campbell who although isn't really know as a gunslinger, he can be effective when given the proper gameplan.
That said, McFadden will compile a total close to 200 yards and three TDs in a Raiders upset W.
