Bills vs. Bengals: TV Schedule, Live Streaming, Radio, Game Time and More

Ryan RudnanskyJun 7, 2018

The Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals entered the season widely viewed as bottom-feeders in the league.

But while the Bengals have somewhat followed suit, going 1-2, the Bills have been anything but a poor team.

The Bills are 3-0 and are coming off a stunning 34-31 victory over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in Week 3. What we knew about the Bills has vanished. In its place? A well-oiled offense led by a quarterback who continues to prove he's the real deal, Ryan Fitzpatrick.

What's at Stake?

After a marvelous start that has just about surprised everyone, as the Bills are in sole possession of first place in the AFC East. When's the last time that happened?

This is a bigger game than it may at first appear. After the Bengals, the Bills face, in order: Philadelphia, New York Giants, Washington, New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys. The Bills have a rough road ahead of them, but a 4-0 start could make up for some of it.

As for the Bengals, the key for this team is for quarterback Andy Dalton and receiver A.J. Green to improve and continue to build a rapport. They are being looked at as the next franchise pieces, and they must remember every game is a chance to learn a little more about the big, bad NFL. The Bengals likely don't have a shot at the playoffs this season, but you take enough baby steps and you find yourself farther than you thought you would be at the end of the season.

FantasyStart 'Em, Sit 'Em and Sleeper

Start 'Em: Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB, Bills

After his display against the New England Patriots in Week 3, you start Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick no matter what right now. Fitzpatrick has thrown for 841 yards and nine touchdowns in three games so far, including 369 yards and two touchdowns against the Patriots last week. He's absolutely on fire and proving everyone wrong. Even against a good Bengals secondary, you start Fitzpatrick.

Sit 'Em: Cedric Benson, RB, Bengals

The Bills may be ranked 24th in rushing yards allowed already, but I'm not liking Benson this season. The last two weeks, he's rushed for 59 yards and 64 yards respectively, and Dalton and the Bengals are likely going to pass a lot to catch up to Fitzpatrick and Co.

Sleeper: A.J. Green, WR, Bengals

A.J. Green had a rough go against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3, but before that he had racked up 165 yards receiving and two touchdowns in two games. There's a reason he was selected No. 4 overall by the Bengals in this year's draft, and he has superstar potential.

Dalton will look his way early and often throughout the season. The Bills are ranked 24th in the league in passing yards allowed per game and have given up seven passing touchdowns in three games. This is a pass defense you can put some points on.

What They're Saying

"Well, we just have to continue to work at the things we're not doing as well. There's really not a big change. We're early in the year. We've got a lot of season ahead of us. And you know, at the end of this week when we're 2-2, there's going to be probably the other third of the league is going to be in the same situation."

2-2, eh? But...you...haven't...played...yet. Oh, I get it, he's declaring his team will win. Well, good luck with that, Marvin. We all know what happens when you declare victories. Just ask New York Jets coach Rex Ryan.

"We played a good football team and made too many mistakes."

There's no question Tom Brady and the Patriots made too many mistakes in Week 3, as Brady threw four interceptions, but he noted the Bills were a "good football team." Coming from Brady, that's high praise. The Bills have arrived after some ugly years, and even Brady is taking notice. In fact, he was forced to.

Bills Player to Watch: Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB, Bills

If Fitzpatrick keeps doing what he's doing, he'll not only be a legitimate starter in the NFL, he'll be one of its stars. Fitzpatrick, in his sixth year, is a testament to hard work paying off. He was selected in the seventh round of the 2005 NFL Draft and now he's blossoming. It's hard not to root for this guy.

Bengals Player to Watch: A.J. Green, WR, Bengals

A.J. Green has already shown why he was so hyped coming out of Georgia. He's a special talent with the chance of becoming a superstar. He's not exactly in the best situation to succeed with the Bengals, but if he can continue developing a rapport with Dalton, he could have an eye-opening rookie season in the pros. He has the chance to explode in this game.

Key Matchup: Bengals secondary vs. Ryan Fitzpatrick

The Bengals have proven to have a strong pass defense in 2011, but they face a quarterback who is on fire. But with the home crowd behind them, the Bengals have a chance of making a statement. If they can limit the Bills offense, they have a chance against a questionable Bills defense. Easier said than done, obviously.

Prediction: Bills 27, Bengals 20
