WWE: 5 Possible Storylines for Alberto Del Rio after Losing the Belt
We all have seen what Alberto Del Rio can do in a cell. That was evident Monday night on Raw.
The WWE's top heel on Raw was more than a man, giving out punishment to both John Cena and CM Punk in a cage at the end of the program.
It is hard to believe it, but the WWE really has what it wants right now: two heels who are unwavering in the fans disapproval of them, much like it was back in the 1970s when there was a true heel and a true hero and never the two shall cross.
Del Rio is in a bit of a spot right now having lost the title and having to battle two men who have respect for each other but soon shall battle again.
It is the kind of magic that can only be drum up like it has been by a creative team that is hoping to find lightning in a bottle at Hell in a Cell.
That said, there are certain story lines Del Rio, who could win at Hell in a Cell but it is highly unlikely, can take part in. These five could show how truly brilliant he really is.
5. He Could Win at Hell in a Cell
1 of 5While all eyes will be on Cena and Punk to see if they rev up their former rivalry, it will be interesting to see if Del Rio gets in between them and captures gold again.
The fans either really like the idea of Punk and Cena teaming together in recent weeks, or hate the idea because they want to see both of them against each other as before.
Del Rio then claims the title and we see Punk and Cena battle to be the top contender for the WWE strap.
4. He Could Be Part of the Conspiracy Angle
2 of 5Remember he told Triple H that he prayed for the day when Vince McMahon came back to run the WWE?
Pretty strong words.
He and Triple H don't get along and Del Rio could join forces with Miz and R-Truth to help rid the WWE of the current COO.
3. He Could Feud with CM Punk
3 of 5This I would like to see.
Punk is such a great competitor and hopefully, Del Rio will sell for him because you know Punk will sell for Del Rio.
The two are willing to take chances and it would be nice to see someone with as many stones in the ring trying to claim world gold like Punk does.
2. He Could Challenge Randy Orton
4 of 5If Orton loses in Hell in a Cell, this may make for a great feud. It looks, however, like Cody Rhodes may have something to say about this.
Orton has feuded with every major star in Smackdown, with the exception of Daniel Bryan.
It would be cool to see Del Rio go after others on Smackdown.
1. He Could Resume His Feud with John Cena
5 of 5Ah yes. The man who took his title from him.
Del Rio doesn't sell like CM Punk, but he is talented enough to hang around with Cena and make things interesting.
Del Rio hasn't beaten Cena and everything Cena said he would do to Del Rio came true at Night of Champions.
Del Rio's ego is big enough to think he can beat Cena and be champion again.
