Fantasy Football Week 4: Chris Johnson and 5 Stars You're Better Off Trading
So you drafted a superstar early and he hasn't produced at all for you? Not to worry. Some stars have uncertain futures, but still carry big names. Somebody in your league will take the bait, and you can cut your losses before it's too late.
Don't let your bad picks drive your team into the ground. Cash in and rob some poor sucker in your league blind while you still can.
Here are five stars you're better off trading.
Michael Vick
1 of 5Michael Vick is a ticking time bomb. It's not just his head or his hand. Every time he drops back to pass, he's a liability. He's not worth the risk, and though some people picked him No. 1 overall, he is far too big of a gamble.
There's no way he lasts 13 more games this season, and you don't want to find yourself in a bind. People will come out of the woodwork if you put Vick on the block. Let a bidding war ensue and cash in before an injured Vick becomes worthless.
Frank Gore
2 of 5Frank Gore's 148 yards are unacceptable. There is a new offense and the offense line is having issues, but he's not producing at nearly the level he is capable of.
With a minor ankle injury and a fumble in his last outing, Gore owners are already seeing their fears realized. The offense isn't clicking, and though Gore will undoubtedly improve, he's definitely worth shopping around.
Arian Foster
3 of 5We haven't seen the last of Arian Foster this season. Then again, we haven't seen the last of his hamstring injury, either.
Foster is going to produce, but he's not going to be the back that people thought they were getting when they drafted him in the early first round.
You may want to wait until Foster has a solid week before you deal him away, but his hamstring looks like it's going to be a problem all season long.
Dwayne Bowe
4 of 5Dwayne Bowe isn't the touchdown machine he was last season. The Chiefs are in complete disarray, and the passing game is pathetic.
Bowe had a monster season last year, and though he had a big game against Detroit in Week 2, he's not going to produce consistently enough to make you feel comfortable starting him.
You might want to wait until he explodes for a monster week to trade him away. Bowe is still a coveted receiver, and someone in a bind is sure to reach out to you if you put Bowe on the block.
Chris Johnson
5 of 5Forget about a 100-yard game, Johnson doesn't have 100 yards on the season. He still carries a big name, and there will be someone in your league willing to overpay for the struggling phenom.
Teams are keying in on Chris Johnson, and it's working. Blame it on his holdout, the stacked boxes he faces or form your own conspiracy theory as to why he's struggling. The fact of the matter is he's not producing.
Johnson's production in previous years will make finding a trade partner easy.
