Sam Bradford Injury: Updates on Rams Star's Week 4 Status and Fantasy Value
When the St. Louis Rams started the season, they believed that Sam Bradford was going to lead them into the playoffs for the first time since 2004. But injuries have taken their toll on this team through three weeks, and now the team's star quarterback is dealing with a sprained toe.
When fans hear about an NFL player with a toe injury, the first thing they do is roll their eyes. But a toe injury is not something to take lightly. If serious enough, it can effect the way they play. Bradford will be in pain when he takes a snap for a hand-off or drops back to pass.

Sam Bradford started the game for the St. Lois Rams, but isn’t having the kind of game the team was hoping he would come out and have against the Washington Redskins.
With just 10 completions in the first half for 73 yards, the former No. 1 overall quarterback hasn’t had the help it takes to win games at the NFL level.
UPDATE: Sunday, Oct. 2 at 10:40 a.m. EDT
There hasn’t been much talk about Bradford’s injured toe lately, but the team’s new found desire to protect their quarterback shows that they are weary of letting the former No. 1 overall pick get destroyed week after week.
Bradford tells St. Louis Today about the problems he is facing in the pocket week after week:
"I’ve got to do a better job of finding those check-downs and getting the ball out of my hand. I'm not sure if I would single those guys out as a group. I expect more out of myself. I expect more out of our wide receivers. I expect more out of everyone. I think if you look at our production on offense, it's definitely been way lower than what it should be. So I think it's on all of us to elevate our levels of play and get this offense rolling.
"
Bradford will be good to go this week, but a matchup with a tough Washington Redskins’ pass rush and coverage team may be a harder test than the St. Louis Rams anticipate.

According to Kathleen Nelson of the St. Louis Post Dispatch, Bradford had an X-Ray taken on Monday. The toe is not broken, but head coach Steve Spagnuolo does not paint the most optimistic picture.
"Right now we hope it's not a big deal," said Spagnuolo.
Bradford is listed as probable for this week's game against Washington, so don't expect him to miss any time on the field. But his performance should be monitored because he is not going to be able to plant and throw the way that he normally does.
