Fantasy Football Week 4 Rankings: Philip Rivers and 5 QBs with Great Matchups
After all sorts of wildness in the first two weeks of the NFL season, not a single quarterback threw for over 400 yards in Week 3. Teams across the league must have remembered how to play defense.
That's possible, but I'm not so sure I believe it. After all, while no quarterback managed to throw for over 400 yards, there were 11 who threw for over 300 yards.
Whatever you do, don't make the mistake of thinking we've seen the end of this wildness. Another week of NFL action is just a few short days away, and you can rest assured that there are going to be plenty of quarterbacks slinging the ball around the yard, much to the pleasure of fantasy owners.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Alas, I'm not sure which quarterbacks are going to end up with the best numbers. I am sure, however, that the five quarterbacks listed below have pretty favorable matchups.
Behold.
5. Matt Ryan vs Seattle Seahawks
His four-touchdown performance against the Philadelphia Eagles notwithstanding, Matt Ryan has been just okay this season.
He's going to have a chance to be much better on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. Their numbers suggest that they've been solid against the pass, but one thing that stands out is that the Seahawks are allowing opposing QBs to complete 70 percent of their passes this season. That's the highest figure in the league.
Given the weapons he has at his disposal, Ryan should be able to put a dent in some of Seattle's more respectable numbers.
4. Jason Campbell vs New England Patriots
The point is debatable, but I think Jason Campbell has the cushiest job in the league at the moment. If the passing game isn't working, all he has to do is hand it off to Darren McFadden and Michael Bush.
But Campbell can sling it if he has to. He has one 300-yard game this season, and could very well notch another against the Patriots this weekend.
All you really need to know is that the Pats have given up more passing yards than any team in the league this season. They have also allowed six touchdown passes and an opponents' completion percentage of 66.7.
Long story short, the Pats can't defend the pass. Campbell should be in for a big day.
3. Donovan McNabb vs Kansas City Chiefs
My guess is that Donovan McNabb isn't even owned in your league. Nor should he be, given the way he's performed this season.
But if you need a QB (perhaps as a replacement for Michael Vick), picking McNabb up wouldn't be a bad idea. He gets to face the Chiefs this weekend, and that's pretty much an open invitation for McNabb to go to town.
For starters, the Chiefs can't rush the passer, as they have just three sacks on the young season. They've also allowed eight touchdown passes, which bodes well for a guy like McNabb, who could use a few.
2. Tom Brady vs Oakland Raiders
Kyle Orton burned the Raiders for more than 300 yards in Week 1. Ryan Fitzpatrick got them for 264 yards and three touchdowns in Week 2. Mark Sanchez threw for a career-high 369 yards against the Silver and Black in Week 3.
You get the point. And this weekend, it will be Tom Brady's turn.
Yeah, I'm thinking Brady owners can expect a big day. As usual.
1. Philip Rivers vs Miami Dolphins
Before the start of the season, I predicted that Philip Rivers would break Dan Marino's single-season record for passing yards.
So far, Rivers is making me look like a fool (which isn't hard to do). He's passed for a mere 979 yards and has more picks than touchdowns.
But no matter. I fully expect Rivers to get back on track against the Dolphins on Sunday. Only two teams have given up more passing yards than the Dolphins, and they've also given up eight touchdown passes while nabbing just two interceptions.
True, Tom Brady has a lot to do with these numbers. But if he can dominate Miami's D, methinks Rivers can do it too.
Don't let me down, Philip.
