Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
While there is no new news in the works for Peyton Manning, it has been interesting to see how the Colts’ PR machine tried to quiet the storm the team’s owner caused.
The Montreal Gazette is reporting about the Indianapolis Colts attempts to clean up the mess owner Jim Irsay stirred up with his comments about Manning being out for the season:
"Avis Roper, a spokesman for the Colts, said Monday that Manning's status hasn't changed since the team's last statement following his surgery, which stated there was no estimation of a return date for the four-time league most valuable player and that he would remain on the team's active roster.
"
If you have Manning on your fantasy team still, drop him right away because he is not coming back during your fantasy season, and even if he does come back, he will be mediocre at best until he gets acclimated back to the NFL.

The worst may or may not have happened. The mystery surrounding Peyton Manning and the most famous neck in football has reached a stirring level.
ESPN reported that Colts owner Jim Irsay had some back tracking to do on Monday. Rumors began floating that Irsay insinuated Manning would be out for the entire season at a Super Bowl donors breakfast.
Word got out, mandating Irsay to clarify anything that was released on the rumor mill. Here is the most telling tweet to date.
Irsay has given fantasy owners the most direct answer he could have. Manning will be out for a long time.
The Colts should get used to life without Manning until the holiday season at the earliest. Fantasy owners should do the same.
The low fantasy value that Manning had before gets even worse today. Irsay has given a best-case scenario in announcing that December is still a possibility.
There is no telling what form he will be in at that time anyway. Playoffs for fantasy leagues will be ramping up, making Manning's value the lowest it has ever been as a fantasy player. Feel free to dump him or trade him to a gullible owner. He will have little to no impact this season.
