2011 NFL Fantasy Football Week 4: Running Backs (RB) Rankings / Projections
Darren McFadden vs. Patriots
If you thought Darren McFadden would struggle after a breakout year, think again. The Raiders' new superstar has to be considered one of the true elite fantasy players around. McFadden looks even better than last year. His 70-yard touchdown against the Jets was an impressive display of vision, foot work and speed as he blew by the Jets secondary.
While many had the Patriots defense tabbed as a top five option for fantasy leagues, they’ve struggled to stop opposing offenses. Coming into Oakland, it will likely be another long game.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
While Adrian Peterson is listed as our top running back for Week 4, it’s only because he’s playing one of the worst defenses in football.
McFadden might be the most dangerous running back around.
Ryan Mathews vs. Dolphins
While Mike Tolbert was the tailback in San Diego with a three-touchdown Week 1, it’s Ryan Mathews that’s pulled away as the top option in the Chargers backfield going forward.
Mathews had a breakout game against the Chiefs and I don’t expect him to look back as he cracks our top 10 running backs this week.
Frank Gore at Eagles
Keep an eye on Frank Gore’s status this week, as he suffered an ankle injury against the Bengals. Rookie Kendall Hunter is one of the top pickups at running back this week; he scored the 49ers' go-ahead touchdown to win and will be the starter if Gore should miss time.
While the Eagles will be favored to win, the defense has had problems against the run. With Michael Vick likely out, San Francisco may stick around in this contest longer than many would think.
Ben Tate vs. Steelers
Don’t be surprised if the Texans keep Arian Foster on the inactive list this week, but even if he makes it back, Ben Tate is still the better play at this time. Unfortunately, Tate owners won’t have the Saints defense to contest with this week as the Steelers come to town.
Ryan Grant vs. Broncos
It looks like Ryan Grant is starting to get his legs healthy; he was clearly the better back to play last week against the Bears. Grant posted over 90 yards rushing, while James Starks only totalled five yards on 11 carries.
