Giants vs. Eagles: Building Team Around Injury-Prone Michael Vick Is Dumb
Michael Vick has suffered a broken non-throwing hand, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer. This is the second game in a row where Vick was forced from the lineup. Last week, Vick suffered a concussion, and now, a broken hand.
Vick continues to live up to his injury-prone label.
The Philadelphia Eagles spent the offseason collecting high-priced free agents, stocking up for a Super Bowl run. The new additions were brought in to complement Michael Vick, with Vick having a big role in the recruitment. The Eagles put all their eggs in the Michael Vick basket, and now it appears like a very risky decision.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
During the offseason, the Eagles traded Kevin Kolb to the Arizona Cardinals. Kolb was once considered the Eagles quarterback of the future, but after an injury, was unable to outplay Michael Vick.
There were thoughts that the Eagles would not trade Kevin Kolb. The idea was that he would be a great backup for the injury-prone Vick. However, the Eagles felt they needed to maximize Kolb's value and cash in.
Andy Reid felt that Mike Kafka was more than capable of handling the backup duties. Despite those feelings, he still brought in a veteran, Vince Young.
During the preseason, Young received the majority of reps with the second team. However, Young has been limited due to a hamstring injury. This has moved Kafka to the backup position and into the lineup.
Vick is a very talented player, capable of winning many football games. However, injuries have been the downfall of his success.
The Eagles took a big risk when they relied on Michael Vick. They took an even bigger risk signing him to a lucrative long-term deal. The $100 million deal means Vick is the Eagles quarterback for the next several years.
