WWE News: Dolph Zigler's Hairline Fracture Injury Is a Work

Dolph Ziggler fans can rejoice, your favorite wrestler is doing just fine.

The WWE star would have fans believe that Hugh Jackman punched him so hard he actually caused damage to his jaw.

According to TMZ, this injury is fake, as they have what they call "sources close to the wrestler" saying Zigler made up the whole thing.

The article states:

"the whole thing was made up by Ziggler.  There is no MRI and no fracture, although we are told Hugh really did pack a punch and Ziggler was in pain. adding "We're told the WWE wasn't in on the scam."

This was a pretty smart move by Ziggler as his tweet garnered him some major press over the past few days.

The big question is: could this situation be worked into a bigger angle, where Jackman actually steps in the ring to face Zigler?

I know it's a stretch, but stranger things have happened in the wrestling world.

Ideally, they would face off at Survivor Series as Dolph looks to exact revenge on Jackman. Then, leading up to the match, the WWE could produce a series of vignettes of Jackman being trained by Zack Ryder.

Finally, on the night of the big event, we would see "Long Island Iced-Z" as the corner-man for Jackman.  The feud would obviously end with Jackman victorious, as is the case when celebrities face off against wrestlers .

Personally, I feel this feud would be great for Survivor Series, as Jackman proved he can work a crowd during RAW. He also seemed pretty into his role, which was a surprise for me—as I was actually dreading his appearance.

Turns out, this appearance was a solid move by both Jackman and WWE. As it not only garnered attention for Jackman's latest movie, it also gave the WWE some fun press.
