Cena has made mention of the Internet Champion in the past, speaking of how the WWE would need to put him over. The overall mention hasn't made much of a dent in Ryder's followers, still hovering a shade over 210,000 on twitter (versus Cena's 900,000+), but you do have to give Cena credit for giving the Internet Champ some rub.
It's interesting to also note that Ryder has been getting something of a push lately from the WWE, with recent victories of McGillicuty and Otunga (in tag action), Drew McIntyre on a "Superstars" Main Event, and US Champion Dolph Ziggler on Monday. Of course with all things, take coincidental events with a grain of salt.
And yes, I admit it's funny that Cena put over somebody.
