Matt Hardy Video: Watch Desperate Wrestler's Last-Ditch Effort To Save Career

Donald WoodSep 20, 2011

Matt Hardy has been the butt of so many jokes over the last month, but it’s finally time for the troubled wrestler to seek the help he so desperately needs.

After multiple DWI arrests and accusations of prescription drug abuse, the former WWE star has finally admitted to the world and himself that he needs to seek the help people have been clamoring for since his time in the WWE.

There is no question that many of the stars both in WWE and TNA are abusing prescription pain medicine, and there is a real problem for these athletes when they try to get themselves clean.

The aches and pains from beating themselves to death night in and night out does take a serious toll on their bodies, so WWE should have a dedicated program set up for the athletes that feel they are losing control of the situation.

It doesn’t have to be called rehab so it doesn’t scare people off, but a place where ether stars can come themselves or the WWE can recommend stars to in the case where friends, families or other stars feel there is a problem.

Hardy’s odd videos and actions of blaming everyone but himself were humorous to many—myself included—but it was the tip of the iceberg, and now he needs help.

As much as it takes to look on oneself as the cause of the issues, there will always be enablers who don’t really want to see the victim get better, and Hardy has to find out who those people are and get rid of them.

It’s hard to tell what a person’s personal life is like, but Matt Hardy needs to start doing what’s best for him and concentrate on getting himself right physically, mentally and spiritually before he can go back to living a normal life.
