WWE Re-Masking Kane: Is It Worth It?
Kane is far removed from the man who once removed 11 people from the Royal Rumble back in 2001. Now he is used for as much name value as he can to put over new talents.
This isn't a bad thing, and in fact I agree with it. But I think the big, red machine has lost some of what made him special. He just doesn't feel like a threat anymore. Instead of seeing a menace to anyone who is brave enough to step into the ring with him, I see a man who is just being used for whatever shred of nostalgia he has left.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
The WWE should give him one last run for all he has given them. At the same time, if they play it right, they could also build up a younger star.
To understand why most fans enjoyed a masked Kane more, the symbolism of what a mask holds needs to be explored.
A mask usually means mystery and something hidden waiting to be unraveled. It also gives the possibility of something more and leaves the viewers to create their own idea of what might be behind it. Once a mask is gone, so is the mystery. The illusion loses its appeal. Even if the mask was put back on, it wouldn't mean anything because fans would know what is behind it.
If the WWE wants a masked Kane, they would need a different method to do it and a different meaning behind it.
The best way to do it would be to have Kane come back as a confused version of himself. No longer the monster he was, and not sure of where his place is.
After a bad week or two on whichever show he returns to, he should be put with a heel that wants to crush him. In an act of arrogance and spite, that heel should either beat Kane up by himself or by using a bunch of indie wrestlers who by sheer numbers beat Kane back.
Then he should weld a new mask to Kane's face.
The mask and the look should be different from the first. Instead of the mask trying to recapture the feeling that Kane first gave off—a dark mystery that could be anything—it should look like a prison. Inside it should be a monster trapped by a weaker but more intelligent villain.
This could lead to an all-out battle with the two wrestlers that leads to Kane's retirement and whatever heel he was feuding with, to bigger and better things.
And it's nothing less than what Kane deserves.
