WWE Night of Champions Results: 7 Storylines for CM Punk After Losing to HHH
Last night's match between CM Punk and Triple H had to be the most confusing matches I have ever seen.
Four different angles that were squeezed into one segment. It was exhausting and it may have answered some questions, but it left doors wide open with others and left me wanting to know more.
It was almost like I felt cheated because it did not deliver like I had hoped it would. For the first few minutes it was a "cat and mouse" game, then became physical, then was interrupted.
I wanted more, and more than 24 hours after the match, I am still wanting more.
That aside, here are seven angles CM Punk could be working with now that he lost the match.
7. He Teams with Miz and R-Truth to Form the "Conspiracy Alliance"
1 of 7While both The Miz and R-Truth inflicted pain on both Triple H and CM Punk, it remains to be seen what happens with Punk and the two who interfered in his match.
Remember, it was Punk who wrestled both individually in recent weeks and help put them over as potential "invasion" members.
He could just join forces with them and then build on that with other members of RAW.
6. He Can Feud with John Cena Leading Up to Hell in a Cell
2 of 7Yes, after it was announced that Cena, Punk and Alberto Del Rio would all three compete in a Triple Threat match at Hell in a Cell, it becomes apparent that the Cena/Punk feud may get some heat again.
That would be awesome for the fans and the company.
As you know, no one sells for Cena like Punk and vice versa.
The matches are epic and can pick up where they left off.
5. He Can Team with Triple H to Battle the "Conspiracy" Angle
3 of 7Sometimes, enemies join forces for the greater good.
This may be one of those cases.
A conspiracy is brewing and as Punk stated, he was wrong and knows it is not Triple H. The logical solution is for both men to join forces to beat the demon at his own game.
In this case, it is John Laurinaitis.
4. He Can Continue to Feud with Triple H and Give the Fans What They Want
4 of 7The match was not the best it could have been, but it was still good.
It can get better.
I see this as a Bret Hart/Shawn Michaels chess game. And we all know how good that was.
Let them battle it out again, Let's see what happens.
3. He Can Beat the Hell out of Alberto Del Rio
5 of 7Gosh, I love this one.
Alberto Del Rio needs a hell of an ass whooping. It would be great to see John Cena and CM Punk both kick Del Rio around for a bit.
Actually Del Rio and Punk in an angle would be pretty decent.
2. He Can Continue His Feud with Kevin Nash
6 of 7I think this would make Punk and the fans a little happier.
Nash came from the stands (again) and interrupted a Punk match. And the results were the same, that being the power bomb.
Now, there is no reason for the two not to finally get in the ring.
1. He Can Join Forces with John Cena and Both Can Be the Faces of the Company
7 of 7Somehow, I still believe Laurinaitis is the puppet of Stephanie and Vince McMahon, and while he does not get along with Triple H, he respects him for his ability.
The McMahons run the ship. Somehow it will come back to the fact Vinnie Mac was fired by Triple H and everything rests with the matches between Cena and Punk.
Again, foes come together in wrestling all the time. This is one of those times.
If this does happen, since they wrestled against R-Truth and Miz last night, it makes a lot of sense.
