Michael Vick Injury: 3 Ways Eagles Can Protect QB If He Plays in NFL Week 3
We aren't sure of the severity of Michael Vick's concussion, but if he plays in Week 3, the Eagles will have to alter their offensive game plan to protect their $100 million man.
Here's how they do it.
First, they must utilize a multitude of screen plays. They have them in the playbook and it'll be time to use all of them against the Giants if Vick plays.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
LeSean McCoy is outstanding at gaining big chunks of yardage from the screen pass and DeSean Jackson has the ideal skill set to be featured on a variety of bubble and smoke screens.
The same goes for Jeremy Maclin. Even Brent Celek, who is pretty fleet-footed for a tight end should be used on inside screens.
Why you ask?
Because teams are realizing that blitzing Vick is the way to force pressure and ultimately create turnovers off some big hits on him.
With the screen game, the Eagles can get their offensive line moving downfield and will allow Vick to get rid of the ball quickly.
Philadelphia must also keep one or two additional blockers in the backfield on passing downs to keep Vick upright.
It will limit their creativity through the air, but with a blocker on both sides of him, Vick should be fine against most blitz packages.
I've saved the most obvious wrinkle for last.
The Eagles need to rely on LeSean McCoy and maybe more importantly, Ronnie Brown in Week 3 and beyond.
McCoy seems to be on his way to a huge year, but he can't take the abuse of carrying the ball 25 times a game.
Brown's three carries for 10 yards were not effective against the Falcons, but the 2005 second overall draft pick can give McCoy a rest with a more punishing running style.
Philadelphia's offensive line is much better blocking for the run. Jason Peters had a great game paving the way for all of McCoy's off tackle runs to the left.
Look for that to continue.
