WWE Night of Champions Results: Triple H Wins and Mayhem Ensues
Triple H defeated CM Punk tonight. That is the simple fact, but how we arrived at that point is a long story. The match was going back and forth, with CM Punk and Triple H trading blows and big spots all around the arena.
The real mayhem started when the referee was knocked out and Punk and Triple H were left in the ring. Like clockwork, someone had to interfere. Enter R-Truth and The Miz. Each man targeted a participant, and it appeared like they were working for an outside force. However, then the focus was turned to Triple H, and it was clear.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Then Johnny Ace himself joined the party and was waving for someone. He called for a referee after Punk and HHH cleared the ring. Punk ate a pedigree, Triple H went for the pinball and Johnny Ace prevented a referee from entering the ring. When a referee finally came in, Punk kicked him out. He then hit a GTS on Triple H went for the pin and R-Truth broke up the pin.
Ace looked confused, and his thumbs starting typing. He was calling in backup, but we all knew who it most likely would be. In terrific timing, Kevin Nash enters the ring and beats up Punk and HHH. Nash really took his time with HHH and was going to end the night had it not been for CM Punk.
Just when Nash went to hit a Jack Knife power bomb on HHH, Punk made the temporary save before getting tossed across the ring. With HHH on the outside, Nash was on the prowl until his face was warmly greeted with a sledgehammer. With Nash out, HHH entered the ring and waited for a stumbling Punk.
We all can tell how the story ends. The COO hits a Pedigree and got the pin fall on Punk. This match was really confusing at the end. Why did Punk save Triple H from Nash. Why did R-Truth change his mind and help Triple H?
There were so many questions that were created with all the various men involved in this match. What we know is this. Triple H is still the COO, and he is going to demand a lot of answers. If I am a betting man, Triple H will attempt to fire Laurinitis tomorrow night, and then we shall see the return of Vince McMahon.
