Night of Champions 2011: What Does Mark Henry's Win Mean for the WWE?
There is a new World Heavyweight Champion in Mark Henry, and with it comes plenty of questions about what happens now with SmackDown and the WWE.
Henry has basically run right over all his opponents, putting Big Show and Kane out of action and causing pain and suffering to Randy Orton along the way to claiming the title.
But there is reason to believe Henry's reign might be good for the SmackDown brand and the company.
Henry, who is the one of the five best in the company right now, has set things up for a heated fall season and may have just completely shuffled the deck in terms of what will happen with opponents and feuds.
A Great Feud Between Sheamus and Christian
1 of 7The Celtic Warrior knocked out "Captain Charisma" with a boot to the face, during Night of Champions, guaranteeing a feud between the two and possibly the No. 1 contender spot on the line.
Both men can bring it like few can.
And the feud will last more than a few weeks, hopefully.
Randy Orton Demands a Title Match
2 of 7Of course this is going to happen.
But this is Orton, who seems to get his way over and over again.
Orton will want to remain as active in the title picture as possible and while he is the face of SmackDown, that may not always be a good thing.
This Sets Up Nicely for a Kane Return
3 of 7The Big Red Machine can come back and challenge Henry for the title.
Before he was injured, Kane said he lost some of his aura.
I am sure he can find some of it when he tries to get revenge against Henry.
If Kane returns soon, look for the two to in a match as soon as possible.
Could It Lead to More Cross-Brand Title Matches?
4 of 7Yes, we would love to see Henry vs. Sheamus or Kane or someone from SmackDown.
But what if other contenders got into the mix.
Could we see R-Truth or The Miz or maybe Jack Swagger challenge Henry for the title?
Wade Barrett May Get Back into Title Contention
5 of 7He is too talented and too good in the ring and on the mic to not be in the picture for the title.
Let's see if he gains steam again.
Let's see if he remains a heel or will turn face.
Daniel Bryan Won't Be Cashing in His MITB Shot Any Time Soon
6 of 7If he is smart, he will wait.
Bryan vs. Henry is not a good feud and it certainly is not something the fans would want to see.
If Bryan is to "win" with his opportunity, this is not the opponent to go up against.
It Means We May Be Seeing the Most Vicious Champion EVER
7 of 7The World's Strongest Man got his wish and made believers out of the WWE Universe.
Now, this could be the most brutal title reign ever.
Can you think of another world champion that went through his opponents like Henry does other than Vader or Goldberg?
This could be a losing battle for everyone who faces him.
