WWE Night of Champions 2011: Ranking the Hottest Divas Champions In WWE History

The Divas Championship is relatively new. Coming into existence in 2008, it was often considered the "model belt," in comparison to the Women's Championship, which was traditionally given to the better in-ring workers of the women's division. When the two titles unified at the Night of Champions pay-per-view in 2010, it became the only title for the entire Divas roster to compete over.

There have been numerous women, both smoking hot and strikingly beautiful, to hold the butterfly title. Join me as I rank the most stunning women to ever hold the championship.

10. Jillian Hall

Title History:

-October 12, 2009: Defeated Mickie James for the title on Raw

Jillian's reign as champion was a joke, which, like her character, was also a joke. While never the most winning Diva on the roster, Jillian was always entertaining and found a fan base despite her ridiculous use and treatment by the creative team. She also had two, huge, major assets.

9. Natalya

Title History:

-July 20, 2008: Lost to Michelle McCool in the match to determine the first Divas Champion at the Bash at the Beach pay-per-view

-November 21, 2010: Defeated Michelle McCool and Layla in a Handicap Match to win the title at Survivor Series

Natalya is an Internet favorite, celebrated for her in-ring ability and her "normal girl" beauty. Natalya's reign lasted only two months, but it was the last time a true wrestler held the championship.

8. Brie Bella

Title History:

-April 11, 2011: Defeated Eve Torres to win the Divas title on Raw

The Bella Twins are a constant source of controversy in regards to Internet fans. Some love them, some hate them. What almost all can agree on is that they are extremely hot. Another in a long line of former models-turned-Divas Champions, Brie held the title for over two months and proved to be a suitable heel titleholder.

7. Melina

Title History:

-October 12, 2009: Defeated Jillian on Raw to win the title

-August 15, 2010: Defeated Alicia Fox at SummerSlam to win the title

One of the most decorated Divas in WWE history, Melina's Divas title reigns are relatively disappointing. Her first was cut short by a catostrophic knee injury that sidelined her for a number of months. The second lasted a few short weeks as she was defeated by Michelle McCool in a title unification match at last year's Night of Champions event.

6. Alicia Fox

Title History:

-June 20, 2010: Defeated Eve, Maryse and Gail Kim at the Fatal Four-Way pay-per-view to win the title

Alicia Fox has quietly become one of the better models-turned-wrestlers on the current roster of Divas. While her title win at Fatal Four Way 2010 seemingly came from out of nowhere, she used that run with the butterfly belt to better herself as an in-ring performer. Alicia has also seen her physical appearance evolve over the years since her debut in 2008 and is undoubtedly one of the hottest women employed by WWE.

5. Michelle McCool

Title History:

-July 20, 2008: Became the first Divas Champion, defeating Natalya at the 2008 edition of the Great American Bash event

-September 19, 2010: Defeated Melina to unify the Divas and Women's Championship at Night of Champions.

The greatest champion in the history of the title, Michelle McCool remains criminally underrated for her role as the glue that held the Divas division together from 2008 until her departure earlier this year. Regardless of her relationship with The Undertaker, Michelle proved to be one of the most consistent performers on the Divas roster, with an in-ring style that meshed with any number of other styles.

4. Kelly Kelly

Title History:

-June 20, 2011: Defeated Brie Bella to win the title on Raw

Kelly Kelly is a throwback to Sable: the blonde bombshell with ample amount of sex appeal that was the most popular woman amongst the fan base. She was not awarded the title just based on looks alone, though. She worked hard and, with the release of Melina from her contract, became the most-tenured Diva on the roster. She has performed admirably, as the Diva who takes a convincing beating but is the plucky, and easy-to-get-behind, baby face of the division.

3. Eve Torres

Title History:

-April 12, 2010: Defeated Maryse for the title on Raw

-January 30, 2011: Defeated Natalya, Michelle McCool and Layla to win the title at Royal Rumble

Any woman who knows Brazilian jiu jitsu is hot. And Eve has used those skills to craft an offense that is different from that of every other Diva on the roster. Growing into a solid in-ring performer, Eve remains one of the two top baby face Divas in the company, often found at Kelly Kelly's side in her battles with the Bella Twins and Beth Phoenix and Natalya.

2. Maryse

Title History:

-December 26, 2008: Defeated Michelle McCool to become the second Divas Champion in history

-February 22, 2010: Defeated Gail Kim in the finals of a tournament to become the first two-time Divas Champion

Maryse typically tops any list of hottest WWE Divas. She is also the first two-time Divas Champion in WWE history and was, at one time, considered the sure-fire breakout star of the division. Unfortunately, injuries and an ill-timed managerial role for Ted DiBiase halted any momentum she had in the ring. Currently recovering from a hernia operation, it remains to be seen if Maryse can ever regain her role as one of the top in-ring Divas in WWE.

1. Mickie James

Title History:

-July 26, 2009: Defeated Maryse at Night of Champions to win the title

Mickie James, like Natalya, is an Internet favorite. She is considered one of the hottest Divas in WWE history because she breaks the mold of toothpick-thin blondes that most men are quick to become mesmerized by. She has an every-girl look to her and that appeals to most male wrestling fans. She is also among the most decorated women in professional wrestling history, winning the top women's title in both major organizations. Her Divas title reign lasted three months and ended unceremoniously on Raw at the hands of Jillian Hall (who would then lose the gold to Melina), but it was still another achievement on a list of many for the Richmond, Virginia native.
