WWE Night of Champions 2011: Mark Henry Deserves World Championship

Donald WoodSep 18, 2011

Mark Henry deserves the World Championship more than anyone in the WWE, and that includes current champion Randy Orton.

Randy Orton is another version of John Cena to the WWE in the sense that they have such an infatuation with the star that they can’t stand to see him too far away from the World Championship.

Well, WWE needs to relax and give the title to a man who has put in his work over the years and deserves a title in Mark Henry. Although he did win the ECW title, which technically counts as a World championship, he hasn’t won either of the main World titles.

After serving 15 years as a worker that kept his mouth shut and did what he was told, the least the WWE could do would be to give a man that has turned himself into something new yet again a chance at holding the World title.

Randy Orton will always be there for the WWE to hand the title back off to, but they should be giving Henry some time with the strap instead of handing it over at the Night of Champions PPV and taking it back at the next show.

Weeks and months of trying to push Henry as a monster has paid off, and if the WWE doesn’t follow through with all of their work they will be depriving one of their hardest workers of the reign he clearly deserves.

Everyone knows that Henry is a terrible in-ring talent, but Orton has the skills to make this match work and Henry has the power to do some amazing things strength wise.

As a fan, I have very little desire to watch this match, but if you ask me which superstar deserves the World title the most, it would be Mark Henry.

Anyone who can put up with Vince McMahon for 15 years without snapping doesn’t just deserve a World title, they deserve a Medal of Honor.
