WWE Night of Champions 2011: The Rock Must Help Alberto del Rio Beat John Cena

It is imperative WWE continues to promote The Rock vs. John Cena at WrestleMania by having Rocky help Alberto del Rio retain the WWE Championship at Night of Champions.

If there is one man who desperately needs the rub right now in the face of the fans, it's del Rio. He’s a fantastic conniving heel, but nobody views him as the clear cut No. 1 heel in the company just yet.

WWE needs to find a way to make del Rio the sneakiest and wittiest heel in the company. The only way to do that, and save face for Cena, is to use The Rock.

I know what you’re thinking, “but WWE can’t afford to have The Rock hit Cena this early. WrestleMania is still more than six months away!”

Exactly.

In fact, The Rock doesn’t even need to show up.

Just when it looks like Cena is going to regain the Championship with the Attitude Adjustment… “If ya smelllllll!”

The only thing WWE needs to do is have The Rock’s music hit.

Not only would the crowd go absolutely ballistic, but it would stop Cena dead in his tracks. This will give del Rio the opening he needs to roll up Cena to retain the Title.

Nothing more, nothing less.

Everybody wins this way.

Alberto pulls off another classic heel tactic like he did last month with the Money in the Bank briefcase. He uses Cena’s vested interested in The Rock against him and even pisses off the fans who desperately wanted to see Rocky live.

Cena saves face as the superhero-esque fan favorite. He was screwed out of the Championship again, but through no fault of his own. He had the Championship in grasp until del Rio wisely shocks the world with The Rock’s music.

WWE could even play to the fact that The Rock and del Rio might be in cahoots with one another. That scenario is an unlikely road to take, but it lends itself the possibility for 24 hours leading into RAW Monday night.

The Rock could always come back pissed off that del Rio used his music without his consent and is just using The Rock for his popularity. This could lead to a five-on-five elimination match at Survivor Series.

This finish is as simple as that for Night of Champions. WWE doesn’t need to over-think anything. They just need to make sure del Rio wins and Cena saves face. The best way to do that is to have del Rio use The Rock’s music to distract Cena.
