WWE Night of Champions 2011: Kevin Nash Must Be a Factor in CM Punk's Match
When WWE announced that Kevin Nash had been “fired” last week, most people assumed that it was just in keeping with the angle that ran on Raw two weeks ago when Triple H fired him, and he would make his return soon.
Well, according to a report on PWInsider.com, we know that Nash’s return will, in fact, happen this Sunday at Night of Champions.
"According to sources within WWE, Kevin Nash is currently scheduled to appear at this Sunday's Night of Champions PPV. His role on the show is not known at this time, but one would assume it will be some kind of involvement in the Triple H vs CM Punk match.

While fans have their own opinions about the way that this feud between Nash, Punk and Triple H has played out over the last month, having Nash return at Night of Champions is the right move because it will help further the storyline WWE has going.
But the next question becomes what role does Nash play in the Punk vs. Triple H match?
As much as WWE loves to do swerves just for the sake of doing swerves, and proving all the Internet marks who think they know it all wrong, Nash has to attack Punk and help Triple H win the match.
There is no possible way that WWE can justify having Nash attack Triple H and help Punk win given the way those two have been going at each other for the last four weeks. The tension between Triple H and Nash was always meant to be a red flag to make you think that some big swerve is coming, when in fact the story will play out the way you think it will.
The idea that Nash would align with Punk is insane on its own, and when you factor in Nash turning on his best friend to align with Punk makes it impossible to do.
When Nash made his first appearance on Raw and basically said that Punk is not a real main event worker because he is small, he actually meant that. He has been saying those kinds of things for years and everyone knows that. So we should just put all that aside to think that Punk and Nash are going to be friends and take down Triple H?
Plus, Punk’s whole gimmick is that he wants to bring about change to WWE. Aligning with an old guy who can’t work in the ring or on the microphone is the exact opposite of bringing about change to WWE because that is what the company has done for years.
I think it would be compelling if Triple H lost the match because I would like to see what they would do with the COO position, but given the way that this whole storyline has played out over the last four weeks, there is no way that Triple H is losing this match.
Nash is going to return to help Triple H win, and that is OK. It is not a perfect storyline since WWE rushed the Punk-Triple H match, but given where we are right now, Nash screwing Punk at Night of Champions is the best direction for this storyline.
