Lee Evans Injury: Healthy Evans is Key To Torching Tennessee Titans
To be honest, I don’t think the Baltimore Ravens will have much trouble disposing of the Tennessee Titans this weekend.
The Ravens are obviously the much better team.
After seeing what they did to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1, I almost shutter at the thought of them squaring off with the Titans.

Baltimore looked scary-good in Week 1.
The defense was all over the place and caused havoc for a normally solid Pittsburgh team. On the other side of the ball, Joe Flacco looked like he’s ready to take the next step towards being an elite quarterback.
Sure, it helps to have Ray Rice behind him in the backfield, but overall Flacco and the Ravens offense looked very impressive.
There has only been one thing about the Baltimore Ravens that fans should and have been concerned about, and that is the health of newly acquired receiver Lee Evans.
Evans missed a week of practice in the preseason with left ankle injury, but ended up playing in the Week 1 matchup.
He was apparently back in a boot and missed practice yesterday though, according Dan Koklo of Ravens Report.
It wasn’t good news for Ravens fans, but today the tone on his injury has changed. Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times writes that Evans participated in practice and plans on playing this Sunday:
"Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Lee Evans returned to practice and said he intends to play Sunday against the Tennessee Titans despite a nagging left ankle injury that sidelined him Wednesday at practice.
Prior to practice, Evans wasn't wearing the protective boot he was in on Wednesday.
"Absolutely, I plan on playing on Sunday," Evans said. "But we'll have to see. You got to take it day by day and see what happens."
Evans said he's been wearing the boot to rest the ankle.
"That's more like active rest," Evans said. "It's just a way of resting it and still be a little active as well. It's part of treatment."
"
This is great news, as the Ravens will need Evans heading into the future.
He is a veteran presence and still brings a lot to the table as far as the passing game is concerned. Not only that, but he takes a lot of pressure off Anquan Boldin as the No. 1 receiver.
Looking at this week though, I think Evans will be the difference between beating the Titans and destroying them.
With a healthy Evans the Ravens are able to spread the field. He gives Flacco one more reliable deep option, and he also opens up a lot more room at the line of scrimmage for the running game.
Evans changes the dynamic of this offense, so the sooner he gets healthy, the better things will look for the Ravens.
