Detroit Lions Sell out Home Opener Against Kansas City Chiefs
The Detroit Lions have sold out their Week 2 home opener against the Kansas City Chiefs.
This is the sixth consecutive home sell-out for Detroit, and means the Lions will avoid their first blackout since Oct. 31 of last year when they played the Washington Redskins.
“We’re very pleased that the home opener is sold out and on TV locally, and particularly excited because the ratings came in for last weekend, and we had the highest ratings for an opening game since 2003,” team president Tom Lewand said, according to the Detroit Free Press.
