NFL Picks Week 2: 3 Teams Guaranteed To Lose

Ryan SimonSep 14, 2011

Three teams have games they just can't handle as we enter Week 2 in the NFL season.

While these teams all had games they could have won in Week 1, they just couldn't seal the deal.

These 0-1 teams all have something in common—they're all going to be 0-2 before Week 2 is said and done.

Here are three teams that are guaranteed to lose in Week 2.

Tennessee Titans

1 of 3

The Tennessee Titans are a mess right now.

While the Titans were successful in getting Chris Johnson his lucrative new deal, he only rushed for 24 yards on nine carries against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Titans went on to lose that game, 14-16, while the Baltimore Ravens beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, 35-7.

Joe Flacco and Ray Rice had 224 yards and 107 yards, respectively, against the Pittsburgh Steelers defense.

It's going to be a long day for Tennessee come Sunday.

Miami Dolphins

2 of 3

The Miami Dolphins play the Houston Texans at home this Sunday, and the Texans will take this game with ease.

The Texans just ripped apart the Peyton Manning-less Colts, 34-7, at home, and with the way the Dolphins just got picked apart by the Patriots, I just don't see them winning this game.

The Texans are going to be on a roll after beating the Colts, and Miami is set to experience that roll head on.

It's pretty much picking your poison against Houston. Matt Schaub, Andre Johnson, Ben Tate or Arian Foster—which one do you want?

It's a lose-lose either way.

Carolina Panthers

3 of 3

With all the hype after Cam Newton's debut against the Arizona Cardinals, you would've sworn the Carolina Panthers blew them out.

Instead, the Panthers lost to Arizona, 21-28.

While Newton had the best rookie quarterback passing debut in NFL history, he'll be hard-pressed to lead his team to victory against the Green Bay Packers.

Aaron Rodgers is just too good right now—and Greg Jennings isn't too bad, either.

Expect the 295 passing yards the Panthers gave up against Kevin Kolb and the Cardinals to shoot up to at least 350 yards come Sunday.
