WWE: 10 Reasons Air Boom Will Lose to R-Truth and The Miz

David LevinJun 7, 2018

It could be said that both R-Truth and The Miz are better in ring performers than the current WWE Champion and World Champion, Alberto Del Rio and Randy Orton.

While they both are without a title and rumors swirling around about a possible rebirth of the tag team division in the WWE, both superstars have formed an alliance that should not be taken lightly.

In terms of performance, they could be Midnight Express (Stan Lane and Bobby Fulton) of this generation, although both are much better at their craft.

Because of the uneven feeling within the tag team division in the WWE and the lack of true tag teams, there are many reasons to believe that Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston will put up a good fight, but in the end will fall to the better combination. In many cases these days, wrestlers are pushed together to form a duo that does not work.

In this case, both these teams work well together.

Here are the overwhelming reasons why R-Truth and The Miz will win tag team gold at Night of Champions.

10. Both Have Gotten a Solid Push of Late

1 of 10

In the past few weeks, both Truth and The Miz got a great push from CM Punk in singles matches.

Don't think that isn't important.

Miz and Truth are great singles wrestlers who now are working exclusively together. You don't see that often enough in wrestling today, especially in the WWE.

9. There Aren't Enough Tag Teams to Compete for the Title

2 of 10

While Air Boom has the titles currently, there are not enough good tag teams, or tag teams for that matter, to compete for title contention.

In order to do that, there needs to be the best team carrying the belt.

8. The Banter Back and Forth Between the Two Is AWESOME!

3 of 10

The communication between the two is great. What makes them so good is their mic skills as well as their talent.

When two guys talk like they do back and forth, it makes it just as exciting as the time they spend in the ring.

We learned that from greats like Macho Man Randy Savage, Roddy Piper and Ric Flair.

7. Air Boom Winning Was a Bridge for the Titles to Be Put on Miz and Truth

4 of 10

Air Boom beat David Otunga and Mike McGillicutty for the belts. Seldom do we see heel vs. heel matches. A transition champion is needed to make the arc work.

Air Boom provides that arc.

6. The WWE Needs a Really Good Heel Team

5 of 10

The Nexus was the last really good heel team. Vickie Guerrero is trying her hand at it.

These two are there already.

5. You Figure They Will Not Get Another Singles Push for a While

6 of 10

Both men could be champions. Both men could carry the brand. Both men could be the best ever.

Creative will not allow that to happen.

Alberto Del Rio is champion. Randy Orton is champion.

Mark Henry will be champion. Del Rio will remain champion.

No sign of either Miz or Truth in the title hunt for a while.

4. The Idea of a Feud with John Morrison and Alex Riley Is Appealing

7 of 10

Riley and Morrison would be tremendous as a tag team.

Both have beefs with Truth and Miz, and all four would tear the arena down anywhere they wrestle.

3. They Can Still Be Part of an "Invasion" Angle

8 of 10

If it still happens, these two men will be right in the middle of the changing of the guard in the WWE.

Nash is out, but there still may be others who jump in to take his place in an "NWO" style takeover of the brand.

With R-Truth and Miz on board, the stable can pick off other RAW wrestlers with ease.

2. If Cena and Punk Ever Join Forces, a Better Feud Is Born

9 of 10

I envision John Cena and CM Punk in the ring together as a team at some point. If they meet this duo, it will be phenomenal.

When all four are in the ring, they give everything they have. Nothing is left, and the fans appreciate the effort.

1. They Have Staying Power

10 of 10

Great tag teams of the past held their titles for months, almost a year.

This duo can go back to the past to bring forth the present.

They could be the best tag team in the WWE for the decade.
