Manny Ramirez Arrested: Former MLB Slugger Doesn't Owe Paparazzi Any Answers

Not to defend Manny Ramirez, because he has certainly brought all this chaos on himself, but how arrogant is the media to think that he has to give them any answers about what has been going on between him and his wife?

As everyone knows, Ramirez was arrested on Monday night after an altercation with his wife. His wife called the police and said that he hit her across the face. Of course, Ramirez had a different story to tell about the way things went down.

According to the Miami Herald, he told the investigator that he and his wife fought, but “he grabbed his wife by the shoulders and when he shrugged her, she hit her head against the headboard,” the affidavit said.

On Tuesday, Ramirez was released from jail on $2,500 bond and, according to TMZ.com, there was a media circus outside the prison waiting to greet him when he walked outside.

He was swarmed by reporters on his way out, but the MLB star didn't answer any questions, speaking half in English and half in Spanish, saying, "It's none of your business."

The reporters on the scene were extremely aggressive, in fact, before Manny took off, we're told one shoved a microphone in his car window ... and Manny grabbed it and threw it out.

If that is, in fact, how things went down, then good for Ramirez. The media have no business getting involved in the story by badgering him and shoving microphones into his car.

Ramirez is not the easiest person in the world to get along with, but there is no reason for the media to attack him, or anyone else for that matter, the way that they reportedly did.

The only person that Ramirez has to answer to is his wife. He has to apologize to her for the way that he behaved, hope that she forgives him and the two can live a happy life together from here on out.

And if the paparazzi don’t like Ramirez’s actions, they can always go find another celebrity on their smut list that they can photograph and look for answers about what’s going on in their mundane life.
