WWE Night of Champions 2011 Preview: 15 Burning Questions Fans Want Answered
All that is left is the PPV.
Well, actually the two shows before the PPV. And while the Night of Champions is still six days away, fans, media and the IWC cannot wait to see what happens.
So we sit and wait and wonder. And we hope our questions will be answered and that the event will live up to what it could be or should be.
There are issues unresolved. There are champions to be determined. There are surprises still not unwrapped. And all these things hopefully will be told Sunday.
But in the meantime, here are questions the fans want to know and have answered Sunday evening.
Who Else Is Involved in the Infamous Text-Gate Scandal?
1 of 15Now that Kevin Nash is out of the picture, what happens next?
This becomes an issue of Triple H vs. CM Punk and while the arch to another angle isn't as smooth as it was two weeks ago (Nash left to star in a movie and could not do both), we shall see if there is another transition to an evil twist.
We shall see who comes out of the stands this time.
Will Randy Orton Give Up the Title?
2 of 15The feud between Christian and Randy Orton was great in that it was built up for weeks and delivered.
Will Orton give up the title to Mark Henry while their feud is still fresh?
Orton has a way of manipulating the system and usually gets what he wants.
Let's see how Orton works with this angle.
How Will Alberto Del Rio Screw John Cena Over?
3 of 15You have to figure that Del Rio wins this match.
Cena as champion is a good thing, but him chasing the title is an even better thing.
Del Rio is not a paper champion so he continues to battle others who have worn him down.
But in the end, Del Rio will retain his title.
If He Loses the Match, Who Replaces Triple H as COO?
4 of 15It's the $64,000 question just waiting to be answered. I have a theory to this that I will divulge later in the week.
But if CM Punk does win, who jumps back into the lead role of the company?
How Much Will Stephanie McMahon and John Laurinaitis Be Involved in This PPV?
5 of 15This leads to my theory that I will talk about later in the week.
If Miz and Truth Win the World Tag Titles, Who Challenges Them Next?
6 of 15The tag team division is so messed up, who will step up and issue a challenge?
Air Boom looks good on television and they seem to mesh well, but are they legitimate champions? Mike McGillicutty and David Otunga aren't worthy champions. So we have to see who jumps into the fray.
Maybe the Uso's?
Will Kelly Kelly Retain the Title?
7 of 15She will probably lose the title to Beth Phoenix.
There needs to be a change and shake-up in the division.
And if she wins, will Natalya be happy with that?
If Kelly Kelly Wins, Will Eve Challenge Her for the Title?
8 of 15That may be a feud worth watching.
Will Mark Henry Be a Long Term Champion?
9 of 15He is the more imposing figure in the WWE.
If he wins Sunday, he could be in for a long title reign.
This could be a good thing.
And who will be on his Hall of Pain next?
Who Becomes the No. 1 Contender for the WWE Title?
10 of 15If John Cena loses, then who steps up to claim the spot? Will it be Dolph Ziggler as a face?
Why Isn't the Intercontinental Title Being Put Up on Night of Champions?
11 of 15It has become the most irrelevant title in the WWE.
And it is a shame because Cody Rhodes could be a great title holder and possible threat for the World Title.
Rhodes deserves a chance at a great feud and while I see Ted DiBiase challenging him at some point (maybe soon), it still needs to be said the title belt which was second in line for the WWE Title gets no love.
Big Dislike!
Will We See a Heated Rivalry or Match Between Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger?
12 of 15Vickie Guerrero thinks she may have a new stud in her stable, but it will come back to bite her in, well you know where.
Swagger appears to be the new golden boy for Guerrero, err Cougar.
How will this play out and does this happen at Night of Champions?
Now that Teddy Long has proclaimed a Fatal Four Way match with Ziggler, Swagger, John Morrison and Alex Riley, things should get interesting.
Could Someone Come out of the Stands to Help CM Punk?
13 of 15It is a no disqualification match, so anything is possible.
Could Punk have Colt Cabana or maybe someone from The Kliq to help beat Triple H?
Oh, the possibilities.
Is the End of Branding Nearer to Reality After the PPV?
14 of 15The more we see stars from both shows on Monday and Friday nights, the more I think it is a distinct possibility.
It seems the better the matches, the more that WWE is leaning toward one brand.
And for some reason, I think it can work.
Will Edge's Appearance on Smackdown Have a Direct Effect on the PPV?
15 of 15It seems that when Edge shows up, things happen.
He was instrumental in the last PPV. What happens now?
Guess we have to wait to see what happens.
